Momentarily he stopped to listen, concentrating to see if he could hear anyone talking. He did this to try and gauge how many people could potentially be in the room ... but it was completely silent. Again, he went to take another step closer, but as he prepared to do so, a chair came flying out of the room. This was then followed by a definite and unmistakeable sense of pressure on his shoulders.
