From Zero to Foundr Podcast

After 25 years of brick-and-mortar restaurants, Nikki Buchannon and her husband were one month into their retirement before they discovered Foundr’s Start and Scale course. After completing the course, they decided to launch IReuse2, a luxury, eco-sustainable, on-the-go cutlery brand, and one year later they hit $100k in revenue. Two months after that, they hit another $100k!

Nikki says that the idea for reusable cutlery came from first-hand experience at her stores seeing how much waste was generated. The Start and Scale course not only helped her to define her brand but also to leverage Instagram and giveaways, which was extremely useful for someone who “wasn’t computer-savvy”. 

In this episode of From Zero To Foundr, Nikki discusses her journey from high-school dropout, to the restaurant industry, to an invitation to attend the Superbowl Gifting Suites. The future is looking bright for Nikki as she says she is in the process of launching reusable bags, and that she plans to shift manufacturing to Canada. And Nikki’s advice to others who might be thinking about starting their own business? 

“Just do it!”

Meet Start & Scale student and founder of Theo & Brom, Myey Moens. 

In the very first episode of Foundr’s newest podcast, From Zero To Foundr, our community manager Mollie Flynn interviews Myey Moens on her entrepreneurial journey from a single 20kg bag of cacao beans, to a $1m revenue forecast.

Moens story is nothing short of inspirational. After moving to Belgium in 2018 with her husband and leaving behind the digital nomad life, Moens enrolled in Foundr’s Start and Scale course. Using the lessons and framework taught by Gretta in the course, Moens launched her first-ever business called Theo & Brom, a company that specializes in Belgium chocolate.

Pageant queen, professional model, and international entrepreneur Maurah Ruiz sits down to speak with Foundr about her journey to launching Acv Gummi. 

Working as a model, Ruiz knew the struggle of maintaining a healthy diet and a strong immune system. Unable to stand the taste of apple cider vinegar, she decided to create her own keto-friendly sugar-free acv gummies. After 2-3 failed businesses, Ruiz says Foundr’s Start & Scale course gave her the framework she needed to create her own brand. Not only did she launch her first company successfully, she’s now in the middle of launching her second business, SkinnyLilly, using the same framework (and hinting at a third!)
