Frustrations have been highlighted in West Clare following persistent water outages over the Christmas period.

Its been reported that residents in Doonbeg and the surrounding area have experienced intermittent supply disruptions, since the 20th of December between 10am and 8pm.

Uisce Eireann has confirmed essential works will be undertaken until 6pm tomorrow evening, confirming to Clare FM bursts on both December 20th and 23rd contributed to low pressure or outages.

Doonbeg resident Geraldine O'Brien, says the ongoing lack of guaranteed clean water supply is unfair and unjust.
