We took a family holiday (including 1 teenager and a 20yr old) to Connemara, Co. Galway last week to an Air B&B with no phone reception or wi-fi. Like most children who are addicted to their phone and Playstations, there was initial shock that turned into acceptance and at the end pure appreciation! To see them come out of themselves and communicating and having fun. It was a risk but we put ourselves 1st for once and booked what we needed and what ultimately they needed too. A phone detox that helped them see there is more to life than that!

The importance of communication in relationships and being able to tell your loved one when you are at capacity with household jobs. Sometimes, we can get overwhelmed, and the other person doesn't know we have a million jobs of our own to do. It's normally not as bad as you think, and sometimes the other person appreciates telling them.
