But the backward butt-skulls of certain corners of deep geekery keep forcing their hand. Bottom line: nerd media is getting more colorful, more queer, and more gender-diverse ALL THE TIME. That's the way Stan Lee wanted it, that's the way Gene Roddenberry wanted it, and that's how it's supposed to be. And it's time for the dusty dinosaurs to get on the boat — or be left in the wake. It's a big day for esteemed "Fuel Your Fandom" podcast host Saint. His band Another Sentiment just dropped their latest LP, "Ascending the Abyss" — and it's a ferocious collection of personal, timely songs that absolutely crushes. So I (that is, co-host Jim) put him on the spot to stop promoting the work of others for at least one episode, and toot his own horn for a change. My boy worked hard on this record, so it's time for me to gas him up a little...which is appropriate, given the name of this podcast.

When a given movie breaks its own rules to the point that something impossible happens (or something possible should happen, but doesn't), it can really mess with our suspension of disbelief.
