Praise and worship are not justsongs that we sing in church. Praise and worship are a lifestyle of honoring God.
We praise God for who He is andwhat He has done.
We worship God because He alone is worthy of our whole life. Sometimes we praise wheneverything is good. But true worship is revealed when we can say, “Lord, even in difficult times, You are still worthy.”
Israel had experienced a long season of drought. But after Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel and God answered by fire, Elijah declared: “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” — 1 Kings 18:41
Elijah heard something by faith before others could see it with their eyes. Sometimes God gives us a promise before we see the evidence
David is known as “a man after God’s own heart.” This means that David desired and purposed in his heart to follow the will of our God. Because David had the right heart before God, he was able to succeed in his life as a servant of the Lord.
Just like David, may we also have the right heart before God.
What is the right heart in the presence of God?
Everyone today is talking about discipleship. Churches are organizing discipleship classes. Believers are attending discipleship seminars. Ministries are creating discipleship programs. But in the middle of all this activity, we must pauseand ask: Are we doing discipleship according to the pattern set by Jesus?
Because discipleship is not our invention, it is Jesus’ design. And if we are going to make disciples, we must follow His pattern, not ours. Today, let us look at the pattern Jesus Himself demonstrated: Relational. Mentoring. Missional. This is the heartbeat of true discipleship.
Many people have experienced rejection, betrayal, failure, abuse, disappointment, or painful experiences. These things may havehappened to us, but they do not have to determine who we become.
A victim asks, “Why did this happen to me?”
A victor asks, “What can God do through this?”
Your past mayexplain you, but it does not have the authority to define you.
A stronghold isanything that has gained a powerful grip over a person's thoughts, emotions, behavior, or spiritual life and keeps them from walking freely in God.
