Every believer is engaged in a spiritual battle whether they realize it or not. Our struggle is not primarily against people, circumstances, or problems, but against spiritual forces that oppose God's purposes (Ephesians 6:12). God has not left us defenseless. He has given us His armor and the powerful weapon of prayer.
•Have you ever poured water into a glass until it overflowed? Once the glass is full, it cannot keep the water to itself—it spills over.
•That is God's desire for every believer. He does not simply want us to be spiritually full; He wants our lives to overflow with His presence so that others are refreshed through us
Have you ever tried cutting a tree with a dull axe?
No matter how hard you swing, it takes more effort and produces very little result. The problem is not the person using it—it has simply lost its cutting edge.
The same thing can happen in our spiritual lives.
We may still attend church, serve in ministry, and do all the right things, yet we may have lost our passion, our prayer life, our joy, or our intimacy with God. We are still holding the handle, but we've lost the cutting edge.
Many people ask, “How can I live the Christian life
victoriously?” The answer is not found in greater
determination or willpower, but in surrendering daily to the
Holy Spirit.
A home that pleases God is not one without
problems, but one that chooses to honor
Him in every season. It is a home where
Christ is Lord, love is evident, forgiveness is
practiced, and faith is lived out daily.
