We're back this week with September's LIVE show at The Whistler in Chicago. Unfortunately there were some technical issues with the recording, and only the last half of the show got recorded. Kristin Clifford and Alex Seligsohn gave wonderful performances, along with co-host Mary Zee, but those were not to be captured on the foreverness of the internets.

After I babble about my fear of flight and death (and looking for a job!), we start the show towards the end of Marty DeRosa's hilarious set. After that we play a spectacular game of "What Are People Jerking Off To?", followed by a roundtable discussion of sex news and questions with Kristin, Marty, Mary, and myself.

Finally, we end with an incredible demo by the woman herself, Auntie Angel, aka the "Grapefruit Blowjob" lady. Angel takes us through how she developed the technique, how to execute it, and then yes - performs it live on stage. It's some juicy audio.

This week Rachel Kramer Bussel, author and editor of modern erotica, steps into the bedroom to chat with Eric. The two discuss the openness with which they share their life both in-person and online, and the challenges of maintaing relationship boundaries while still telling their own stories. The two also talk about the ever-eroding boundaries of privacy, and how society will eventually need to be more accepting of those whose non-traditional identities are exposed.

Later Rachel talks about growing up as a child in New Jersey, and what initially drew her to literature and writing. Although she attended the notoriously counter-culture UC Berkeley, it wasn't until Rachel moved to New York that she began exploring her own alternative sexual identity, which she began incorporating into her writing.

Eric hasn't read erotica since the days of dial-up internet, so when he read Rachel's work it was with relatively fresh eyes. Eric and Rachel discuss what compels readers to erotica, and why it seems that the audience is overwhelmingly female.  Eric wonders how much of the authors' lives are incorporated into their own fantasy writing, and asks Rachel wether there is an ethical culpability in the writing of fiction.

It's an intense episode this week! Chicago comedian Mary Zee is back holding down the fort with Eric.

Arist and photographer Wyatt Neumann skypes in to discuss his recent art show "I Feel Sorry For Your Children", based on online backlash he received after taking pictures of his 2-year-old daughter nude. Wyatt began receiving comments calling him a child pornographer, and his social media accounts were accordingly shut down.

Wyatt discusses how the pictures came about, the ensuing backlash, and why he ultimately decided to turn the experience into an art show. We also discuss the nebulous line of privacy when it comes to parents uploading pictures of their family to social media, how sexualization is a matter of perception, and the stigmatization of the body in general. 

Then we have queer porn performer, writer, and sex worker activist Kitty Stryker skype in to discuss the recent Facebook #MyNameIs policy which is requiring users to validate and use their legal name, meaning sex workers, drag performers, trans people, victims of abuse, etc. are having their safety and careers compromised. We talk about how Kitty herself has been affected by the policy and has been a previous victim of doxxing, why Facebook may be implementing this policy, and where things currently stand.

Eric is on the road this week in Madison, Wisconsin, and on his journey he ran into some friends both old and new. Full Disclosure favorite Jen Larsen is on the show, as well as old co-host Jess Kuno who's skyping in. Oh boy do we have one meaty episode! Jenny Graves is an Australian geneticist, professor at the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science, UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) PhD, and member of the The Australian Academy of Science. She joins Eric, Craig Gaspian, Australian improviser Richard Wielga, and Los Angeles dominatrix Snow Mercy (who happens to have a fancy science PhD of her own) to discuss the misconceptions surrounding the "gay gene", and what exactly might go into the genetic expression of one's mating partner.

Next up we talk with Snow. Snow discusses her Mormon upbringing, her personal sexual growth, and her ultimate foray into becoming a dominatrix.

Later Snow generously demonstrates those skills as Craig generously volunteers to get spanked, slapped, and paddled all over his bottom. It was one of my favorite moment's of this podcast.
