Motivated by a desire to provide a better lifestyle for her family and wanting her husband home more, Gabby explains how she faced her fears while starting a business from the ground up. Eight years into her journey she has embraced the concept of “Do it scared’…doing things outside your comfort zone because those things push you to be better and help you progress.

After a decade of building multiple online businesses to 8 figures and twice landing on the Inc 5000 Jeff turned his focus to educating and inspiring entrepreneurs about the power of digital business. In 2018 he founded ENTRE Institute where over 50,000 students have been introduced to his "digital real estate" concept. He is now regarded as one of the most inspirational voices in business and personal development.

Jeff's interest in entrepreneurship began in his 20s when as a pianist he was often hired to play in the homes of successful CEOs and business owners. In 2008, at age 29, after multiple failed ventures, including a restaurant franchise that left him with a half million dollars in debt, he found his first success online as an affiliate marketer and was able to pay off his debt in 18 months. He went on to generate close to $50 million in sales over the course of a decade (without ever having to go into an office) before turning his focus to educating and inspiring others on how he did it.

In addition to his work with ENTRE he is a partner in a software company and maintains an active schedule of speaking and podcast appearances, including hosting his own podcast and YouTube series called 'Millionaire Secrets' where he interviews successful entrepreneurs. He's married, an active father to 4 children, and still enjoys playing the piano as often as possible.

Prior to the Christmas holiday, Congress passed another round of stimulus relief legislation to help struggling families and small businesses deal with the impact of the current pandemic. The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 was signed into law by President Trump on December 27, 2020. We are so excited to start off the 2021 year with another installment of “This is Their Story”. For this episode, we had the privilege of interview Sarah Hagstrom who is a plant-based health coach turned life and business mentor for online coaches.

Sarah’s story is unique but in many ways is familiar to so many other entrepreneurs struggling to start their own online business.

Here is what she says about her own journey with her husband Peter:

Our journey started with a documentary and a book. The documentary was “Food Matters” and the book was “The Four Hour Work Week”. After watching that documentary, we changed our diet right away and it changed our lives. We wanted to help everyone get healthy. You can probably relate? :)

Then we read “The Four Hour Work Week” and the thought of working only four hours a week, having freedom, and helping others lit us up more than our steady careers. So it was decided: we were going to be entrepreneurs!

Unfortunately, the book forgot to include how HARD entrepreneurship is (or maybe it did but we just overlooked that small but VERY important detail #oops).

There were many nights of crying because "nothing was working" and because "maybe we're not cut out for this". But the truth is we had no idea what we were doing. Our heart was in the right place but we were just copying what other "successful people" were doing, and it wasn't working.

Once we figured that out, we were able to go from helping a few people to helping 100's. From making a few hundred dollars to making a few thousand.

Sarah shares so many powerful insights as she discusses her entrepreneurial journey, including overcoming fears, hiring someone to help (like a business coach), and taking one step at a time while being open to the opportunities that will come next. Wow! What a year this has been…from a worldwide pandemic that has disrupted social norms, to riots in major cities, and to a hotly contested presidential election…2020 has been a year many of us our glad to see come to an end.

When we started this entrepreneurial journey, we call aCent101, we had no idea we would be starting a business in one of the most chaotic years in recent history. Despite all the chaos and disruption to normal life, we have plowed ahead with our dream to create a resource or place where entrepreneurs can come to be educated and enlightened about business fundamentals to empower them with the confidence to achieve their dreams and build successful businesses.

In this final episode of 2020, we take some time to review (or is it revere) this past year. We chat about the challenges we faced, the struggles we had to overcome, and the things we have learned as we launched aCent101 and this podcast to the world. Have we done everything perfect? Nope! Have we made lots of mistakes? Yep!

We have all heard the saying “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade” but how often do we see someone put into action this positive can-do statement? Well, we had the opportunity to meet and chat with one such individual who took a very negative health challenge and turned it into business to help herself and others.

In our 5th installment of “This is Their Story”, we had the privilege to chat with Brea Weinstein the creator and founder of the Healthy Life Planner. Brea’s entrepreneurial journey began with her chronic illness. When she was nine years old, Brea was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. A couple of years ago she faced one of the worst flareups she had ever faced, leaving her severely sick for four months straight. During this time, her weight dropped from 115 pounds to 92 pounds, she could only eat very limited ingredients, and she was so sick she could no longer drive herself to the grocery store. She spent most of her time in bed or in the bathroom. Looking back at this time she recalls, “it was the most depressing, painful, and challenging time of my life”.

The challenge of this chronic illness was compounded by her inability to provide accurate answers to the questions of her medical professionals, as they tried to treat and help her coup with her illness.

She explains:

During that time, it was hard for me to keep track of all my symptoms and notes from my numerous doctor appointments. Each time I visited my gastroenterologist he asked me about the last time I had symptoms and pain. With my busy schedule, it was always difficult for me to keep track and remember how I was feeling every day, which meant I didn’t always have an accurate answer for my doctor. I began to think to myself, if only there was something out there that allowed me to keep track of my daily symptoms, diet, medical information, and plans organized into one place, but was also aesthetically pleasing.

I decided to take it into my own hands and create my dream planner for all of my medical needs. I would like to introduce you to the Healthy Life Planner!

Brea knows what it is like when life hands you lemons; however, she is also an example of turning the lemons into lemonade. Listen in as she explains how she used this negative experience, the support of family and friends to launch her entrepreneurial journey. Her story is inspiring!
