Well, we talked to Dan Jurgens earlier this week (check out our awesome interview here) to coincide with the release of his final issue of Booster Gold, #31.  As it turns out, as teased in our interview, that final issue hinted at many great things to come and, Thursday morning, DC Nation dropped the big news.

TIME MASTERS: VANISHING POINT starts this July, and ties directly into The Return of Bruce Wayne, featuring Rip Hunter, Booster Gold, Superman, and Green Lantern traveling through time trying to find their friend.  The six-issue mini will be written and drawn by Jurgens and, as you’ll find out exclusively on our podcast, The Return of Bruce  Wayne isn’t the only series that Time Masters will tie into.  What’s the big DC event coming that the series is leading directly into?

On the day his final (for now) issue on this volume of Booster Gold hits the stands, Dan Jurgens guests on the podcast.  Aron, Paul, and Wayne spent an evening chatting with the man who created Booster back in the 80’s.  Jurgens has worked on such amazing titles as Solar for Valiant Comics, 52, 79 issues of Marvel’s Thor and as if all that wasn’t enough contributed to the epic Death of Superman storyline and even created one of the most iconic images in modern comics.

In our interview with Dan, we talk about where he’s been with Booster, projects he’s worked on in his nearly 30 years in comics as well as those projects he’ll be working on, and… his future return to Booster Gold.

This week Aron, Paul, Wayne, Jonathan and Tim debate the merits of Doug Ramsey vs. Aquaman vs. Tripod Johnson.

Aron, Paul, Wayne and Tim welcome Jonathan back from rehab with an  episode of epic proportions featuring a rousing discussion of  the week’s comics inclusive of our thoughts on the final issue of Blackest Night.

While down in the Orlando, Florida area recently, Paul visited A Comic Shop, where he had the good fortune of having a nice leisurely conversation with Daniel Way (check out pictures of the event here).

Of course, regular listeners of Funnybooks (specifically this episode) know the real story – Paul braved Asian Massage Parlors, volcano finishes, forgotten digital recorders, inconvenient dinner hours, long ass drives, and Mickey Mouse himself for this interview, in which we talk about Deadpool, Hit Monkey, Dark Wolverine, and Wolverine: Origins.  We even get an exclusive bit of news about the fate of Daken (Dark Wolverine) near the end of the episode!
