Be Careful
Matthew 6: 1-6, 16-18
This week we will consider Jesus' caution against performing our religious practices in front of an audience in order to gain their approval. We will see that Jesus is just as concerned about our motivations behind our actions as he is our actions themselves. This, we will see, has far-reaching implications for our own context today. "Fulfill the Law"
Matthew 5: 17-20 (21-48)
This week we will consider Jesus' view of the scriptures and his claim in Matthew 5: 17-20 that he came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets. Then we will seek to understand this claim by examining six case studies Jesus gives his disciples in Matthew 5: 21-47. How might this help us better understand God's wisdom applied in our lives in light of Jesus?

The Kingdom Come
Matthew 4:17, 23-25
