  • Heart of God

Sundays at 10:30 am | Great Room

    "Heart of God"
    Jeremiah 9:23-26

Join us as we begin a brand-new summer sermon series titled "Into the Heart of God: Through the Minor Prophets." We will spend the entire summer working our way through each of the 12 minor prophets that close out the Old Testament. This week, the words of Jeremiah will help us gain a better understanding of the biblical prophets. Who were they? What was their message? How do we interpret them today? The hope is that this Sunday will lay a helpful foundation for the rest of the series. Join us as we begin this powerful journey and be sure to check out some of the helpful resources provided on our Resources Page.

Check out this excellent summary of the Biblical Prophets and the Book of Jeremiah put out by BibleProject.

We will explore Jesus as the source and model of this love; the challenge it presents to the church; and how it is a powerful and countercultural witness to the world.

  • Not Disqualified

Sundays at 10:30 am | Great Room

    "Not Disqualified"
    John 21:1-19

This week we wrap up our sermon series titled, "Fragile Faith; Faithful God" and consider Peter's powerful encounter with the risen Christ from John 21: 1-19. We will ponder what brought Peter and the disciples back to fishing the shores of their hometown in Galilee and what happened when Jesus met them there. In this we will once again be reminded of the faithfulness of God that responds to His people's failures and flaws.

  • Thomas: Witness to the Resurrected Jesus (Rev. Bill Lindner)

Sundays at 10:30 am | Great Room

"Thomas: Witness to the Resurrected Jesus"
    John 20:24-31

We usually refer to him as "Doubting Thomas." Indeed, Jesus tells Thomas to "Stop being faithless and instead BELIEVE!" But Thomas also has a particular calling and place as an Apostle in the mission of the Resurrected Christ. It was for our sake that Jesus shows his wounds to Thomas, so that we too might receive Jesus as "my Master and my God!"

    "Facing Fear"
    John 20:19-23

  • Faithful King

Sundays at 10:30 am | Great Room

    "Faithful King"
    Matthew 21:1-17

This week, we begin our Holy Week journey by remembering Jesus' Triumphal Entry from Matthew 21: 1-17. Generations after the people of Israel settled in the promised land, they asked for a King to lead them, but their fragile faith eventually led to their own exile. During the exile, the promise of a coming Messiah King was remembered but not realized until Jesus rode into Jerusalem publicly announcing that he was this expected King. We will explore how the reality of Jesus did not fit the people's expectations of their Messiah King. What did this mean for them? What does this mean for us? Join us as we explore together.

  • Lost and Unaware

Sundays at 10:30 am | Great Room

    "Lost and Unaware"
    Judges 2:6-15

This week we continue our Lenten sermon series titled, "Fragile Faith; Faithful God." It has been a fun journey through the scriptures, considering the brokenness of God's covenant people and the faithfulness of God as we fix our eyes on the cross of Jesus. This morning, we will consider the life of Joshua, who led the people into the Promised Land after Moses' death. What we find is that Joshua lived a faithful life, and yet after his death, everything fell apart. What happened? Could Joshua have done something different? What can we learn from Joshua's example and the failure of the people of Israel? Oh, and we will consider how Jesus fits into all this! Join us as we explore these questions and more this Sunday.

Check out these helpful videos from BibleProject that offer a helpful review of the overarching storylines of Joshua and Judges. They also do a nice job addressing some of the concerns these biblical accounts raise for modern readers.

  • Careless Anger

Sundays at 10:30 am | Great Room

    "Careless Anger"
    Numbers 20:1-13

This week we continue our Lenten sermon series titled, "Fragile Faith; Faithful God." It is a journey through the scriptures considering the brokenness of God's covenant people and the faithfulness of God as we fix our eyes on the cross of Jesus. This morning, we will consider the life of Moses, who led the people out of slavery in Egypt. We will explore this moment of failure when Moses disobeys God's command in striking the Rock at Rephidim with his staff - a moment that led to Moses not being allowed to enter the Promised Land. What led to Moses' act of disobedience? Did the punishment fit the crime? How did God remain faithful through it all? And how does Jesus fit into all this? Join us as we explore these questions and more this Sunday.

    "Wrestle with God"
    Genesis 32: 22-32

This week we continue our Lenten sermon series, "Fragile Faith; Faithful God." We will journey through the scriptures considering the brokenness of God's covenant people and the faithfulness of God as we fix our eyes on the cross of Jesus. This morning, we will consider the life of Jacob the heel grabber whose name would be changed to Israel after an all-night wrestling match with God. We will explore how God remained faithful through Jacob's life of wrestling, scheming, and maneuvering through life and then ponder if, just maybe, Jesus has a better way...

Check out this short video from BibleProject that offers a helpful review of some of the overarching themes of Genesis that we will be exploring in the weeks ahead.
