1889... no wait, 1899! Welcome back, Drifters, for another transmission from the good ship, U.S.S. Galactic Driftwood! This week we're staying sci-fi but going to the past with a look at 1899, a new show that's streaming on Netflix! It's spooky! It's got mystery! It's got horror! We've got you covered this week! Beware, there's spoilers and if you're scared of them you should watch the series and THEN listen to the episode. But, either way, you should listen because spoilers or not, you know we're having fun.

I am the night! I am vengeance! I. Am. BATMAN! Welcome back, Drifters! The good ship, the U.S.S. Galactic Driftwood and her crew are in your orbit again. This week we're talking about a variety of things, but we're starting off with discussing a bit of bad news, with the recent death of Kevin Conroy, most well known for his portrayal of Batman and Bruce Wayne in the 90's Batman: The Animated Series. We also talk about Cosmic Film studios located in Lyons and some news about Dungeons and Dragons! Let us know what you're playing in the comments!

Awooooooooooooooooo! Welcome back, Drifters! Sure, Halloween has been done for a month but it's never too late to keep the spooky train rolling. This week we're taking a look at a surprise that came down the pipe from Disney+, Werewolf By Night! More good news, we're joined by, show favorite, Stu Burns! If you haven't seen Werewolf By Night yet, go and check it out. There's spoilers ahead. Don't say we didn't warn you!

We all love a good spook... weeelll most of us. Welcome back to another episode of the Galactic Driftwood Podcast! Even though we've moved past spooky season we're not quite done with it. There were too many good shows and stories that came out this year and now we've got a bit of a backlog. This week we're going to be talking about the Cabinet of Curiosities, an anthology show collected, (and a few episodes directed) by Guillermo del Toro, now airing on Netflix. We'll go through most of the episodes, so if you haven't seen it yet and don't want to be spoiled, consider this your warning. Overall, we have to say you can't sleep on this show... and then you won't be able to sleep after you watched it! (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Time for an away mission! Welcome back, Drifters (the Captain has given our listeners a name) to the Galactic Driftwood Podcast! This week, we're going to be talking about Anime Nebraskon 2022, which enjoyed over 7000 attendees this year and happens right here in Omaha, Nebraska (Council Bluffs, Iowa, but only barely.) The con asked if we'd like to attend and cover the con, so we sent Chris, one of our resident anime experts, to check it out, take photos and video! Give us a listen or a watch! If you like what you see maybe we'll run into you at next years con!

"HULK SMASH!" Greetings fellow "Drifters" (yeah, that's a thing now, I guess) The good crew of the Galactic Driftwood are sliding back into your local orbit to sample more of your fine pop-culture wares. This week, we're talking about She-Hulk, streaming on Disney+. This is another show that started a disagreement, a friendly one, among the crew. Warning, we're gonna be talking about spoilers, so if you haven't seen the show, go watch it and come back... or just tune on in and get SMASHED with spoilers!

What in the heck did we just watch?! Welcome to another After Dark episode of the Galactic Driftwood Podcast. Every now and again, the captain lets us out on shore leave and we make some questionable decisions. Like letting our good friend and frequent guest, Benito Garcia choose the movie. That necessitates some sampling of your local intoxicants to help us deal with the experience. This time we subjected ourselves to Titane an ... interesting horror movie. Really, you just have to hear us talk about it. Warning, we're going to spoil things, so if this is a movie you had on your list, watch it before listening!

"Who ya gonna call?!" It's a dark and stormy night, the lights have long since gone out, but the crew of the Galactic Driftwood can't sleep with all these ghosts around. Welcome back for part two of our away mission to Crofton, NE and the haunted Argo Hotel! Stu Burns is back to help us talk about our experience spending the night in the Argo Hotel itself! We spoke with the proprietors and they had some stories to tell us about their personal experiences. Did we have any close encounters of our own? The only way to find out is to listen!

"Look at all the bones! ... That rabbit's dynamite!" Greetings, Earthlings! As anthropologists, we understand that your primitive culture has a time of year that's more special than any other. Decorations come out, special treats are everywhere, and it truly is the happiest time of the year. In honor of your quaint Halloween customs, the crew has decided to go on an away mission, led by the Pastor of the Church of Nebraska Tourism and show favorite, Stu Burns! This is the first part of our two part trip to Crofton, NE to spend the night in the haunted Argo hotel! But that's the destination, and this episode is all about the journey! Specifically, we wanted to check out a couple sites on the way. This week we're talking about what we saw in Ashfalls, NE, a paleontological dig site where animal bones were preserved (after being killed by) ash from a super volcano eruption over 10 million years ago! We also visit the ghost town of Venus, NE. Don't worry, we've got the photos so check it out on YouTube!
