Yes...it's tempting to believe the Houston Texans (or any NFL team) aced this draft. And if you're an understandably jaded fan OR someone on the outside looking in, you COULD argue they blew it.

0:39: The Ravens surprised much of the NFL word by giving Lamar Jackson the NON-EXCLUSIVE franchise tag, meaning he can negotiate a contract with any other NFL team. That team would have to trade Baltimore two first round picks AND give Jackson a massive contract...which the Ravens have a chance to match.

With all that said...shouldn't the Houston Texans at the very least THINK about it?

1. The reported details of this contract don't really tell us if the Seahawks are committing to Smith past this coming season.

2. I don't think the Seahawks SHOULD commit to Smith past this coming season...unless they're drafting a QB with that 5th overall pick.

15:37: I HATE the NFL Combine and the discourse it creates, especially about quarterbacks that we'd been watching play actual football for a full fall!
