Gallant Says

Space City Home Network Rockets sideline reporter @VanessaRichardsonMedia joined the show to talk about Kevin Durant's arrival in Houston AND EVERY important storyline going into this EXCITING season.

The Rockets tipped off the Kevin Durant era with a CLASSIC against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder...and I'm celebrating the POSITIVES from the game. Plus, my friend, old radio co-host, & Rockets sideline reporter ‪Vanessa Richardson‬ stops by to preview the remaining 81 games. And to wrap things up, the things that C.J. Stroud and DeMeco Ryans said AFTER their loss to the Seahawks have me feeling WORSE about the team.

EVERYTHING is fair to question after last night's debacle.

The Texans will play a football game for the first time in 15 days tonight against the Seattle Seahawks. Are they ready? Plus, thoughts on Kevin Durant's extension, a controversial moment for an ex Astro over the weekend, and thoughts on everything that went down in the NFL this weekend!

I'm HOPING the Texans didn't get big heads after their 44 point explosion a couple of weeks ago against the Ravens. They've fallen victim to their own hype before...and the Seahawks are no joke. Plus, the most important Rocket for this season's success NOT named Kevin Durant had a VERY interesting performance last night. Plus YOUR QS on an Ask Gallant Anything Friday.

I used to cover the Seahawks. But just a few years later I barely know ANYTHING about them. How much of a challenge will they be for the Texans Monday night? I investigate.

Plus, some thoughts on ex Astros, more smoke when it comes to potential Texans trade targets. And people are mad at Trump for...soccer reasons?

The Texans are officially back to work for Monday's upcoming game in Seattle. It marks a point in the schedule where things are actually about to get MORE difficult. Plus, an ex Texan is already out of a job [again], this team is allowed to be atop your power rankings [again], Jerry Jones is sounding senile [again], and who's been soft in the world of sports? Another edition of SOFT BOIS!!!

The Texans 0-3 start was semi-disastrous, but the AFC is aging quite nicely for them. Will they be able to capitalize? And who is the BEST team in the AFC right now? Plus, this NFL team is making it IMPOSSIBLE to have excuses anymore. And is it time to welcome Titans fans on the Texans bandwagon? Because they are down BAD.

Things feel wide open, which is certainly a plus for the idle Houston Texans...and all the teams "in the hunt". But man, the really bad teams in this league are ABOMINATIONS.

Chandler Rome (The Athletic & Crush City Territory Podcast) & I talked about the Astros parting ways with some key staff members this week, why they did it, what's next this offseason, and more!
