BOXING: Christina Desmond with Galway Bay FM's John Mulligan after winning the BUI Irish Super Lightweight Belt against Louise Creaven

Both boxers left everything in the ring before it finished 99-92, 99-91, 99-91 to Christina Desmond, but Louise Creaven played a major part in another massive milestown for Irish women's boxing.
Galway Bay FM's commentator was John Mulligan.
Despite a strong start with a Sean Jansen try, Connacht left Scotstoun Stadium in defeat again as Glasgow Warriors ran out 17-point winners in the BKT United Rugby Championship on Friday evening (9th October 2026).
