Game Query

We're joined again by YouTuber extraordinaire Jacob Geller to ask ourselves (and by extension you) if Sonic the Hedgehog were an animal, what animal would it be? Is Smash Bros. the buffet of video games? Does Arkham Knight have the best video game camera? What gaming feat are we the most ashamed of? Enjoy!

We're launching a new show! Blake and AJ have taken it upon themselves to complete the Sisyphean task of watching and dissecting every video game movie every week for the foreseeable future. The first movie is 2007's Yakuza: Like a Dragon by Takashi Miike, director of movies like Audition, Dead or Alive, and Ichi the Killer. Join them as they talk about why the Yakuza games don't work as a movie, dive deep into the production of Miike's adaptation, and explore the very few things that make this movie worth watching.

As mentioned above, this is a new weekly show from Game Query. New episodes will be posted every Monday. Next up on the list, we're tackling Paul W. S. Anderson's Resident Evil film series, one movie at a time, for the next six weeks. God help our boys. If you wanna watch along, please do! All of the Resident Evil movies are easy to find on Amazon to buy or rent. Also, we'd love to hear your thoughts, questions, or observations about the movies.

New year, new Game Query. With 2020 upon us, we're talking about our New Years Resolutions for gaming. Join us as we discuss going to the "gym," expecting more from games, and maybe not playing as many games in the future.

It's the very last Game Query of 2019, and it's a little different this time. AJ and Blake dive deep (some might say too deep) in this spoiler-filled analysis of Death Stranding. Topics include, but aren't limited to whether or not this game is unhinged, why "weird" is a terrible way to describe anything, the concept of star fucking, black metal, Kojima's lack of subtlety, and so much freaking more. See you next year!

Face The Gamer Nation returns to run down all the biggest news stories of 2019. On the docket: apolitical video games, some crap about Pokemon (I'm not sure what, but people are mad about something), gun control in America, the PlayStation 5, and much, much more. Good night, and good game.

We have two (2) wonderful guests this episode. Jacob Geller AND Suriel Vazquez join us as we get to the bottom of what makes a good video game, ingest some bodily fluids, rip off some games, and pitch our ideas for the worst video game events. Enjoy!

Take a trip into the mind of Andrew Moser on the very first edition of Game Query: Q&AJ. Join him in this one-man episode as he stares into the abyss and talks about Death Stranding for 45 minutes. Your questions will NOT be answered!

(Sorry the episode is late. I'm on vacation, and, turns out, they don't have many three-prong outlets here in Japan!)

We're joined by our good pal Luke (https://twitter.com/Urzashottub) for this very special Halloween-themed episode of Game Query. Join us as we discuss which video game characters should duke it out ala Freddy vs. Jason, pitch our best horror game, settle all bets and determine which video game monster is the best, and maybe get a little political. All this and more on episode 34 of Game Query!

(don't tell Danzig we used his song)

For episode 33, we brought A LOT to the table. Have you ever wondered if you can ruin a great game with a terrible sales pitch? Are you curious what games you can skip this year due to them inevitably being cancelled? Do you need help moving to a fictional world to escape the doldrums of your every day life? Sup with the moon? Luckily for you, we answer all these questions and more!

This episode, it's just the boys. We're joined by game critic extraordinaire Jacob Geller (@yacobg42) to stand up for gamer rights, hate our jobs, do a Freaky Friday-like body swap, and soil our pants. Enjoy!
