Dr. Awesome finds it difficult to be as bad as he would like to be, Michael has been playing tablet games whilst on the road and the guys love their remakes, but discover that Space Invaders is just plain weird. This weeks Peeve is a bit of a grey area.
The original duo of Dr. Awesome and Michael are all alone in the studio this episode to talk about all the games that made them laugh. Michael has almost retrieved what is rightfully his, and this is our second episode with PlayStation 4 experience. Is Dr. Awesome satisfied? We talk about You Don't Know Jack, Borderlands, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and more. This weeks Peeve: Michael was robbed of his date with Destiny.
This week on GUTS: Michael has an actual reason to talk about poo, and wants listeners to claim the free games that are rightfully theirs on XBox Live for Gold members. Dr. Awesome asks about the worthiness of Hitman Go, and smells a Mighty lawsuit and Aaron brings up the new gaming tablet from Nvidia. Find out which one of our gamers has joined the next generation, regular listeners can most likely guess. This week's Peeve is all up in your grill.
We had a slight summer break and now we have returned with our newest episode, recorded just after the E3 Expo. Michael Lothian and Dr. Awesome summon The Stevil Dead to discuss one of the most anticipated games of the year, Watch Dogs. The guys find it has fallen victim to the hype machine, as Dr. Awesome describes the unpolished experience that surrounds a clever gimmick, and Michael calls out the elminiation of an important promised feature. They bring up some video game movie news, Facebook VR may have Valve as a new competitor, the Wii U may have just been saved, and Michael embarks on a quest to find a lost artifact. The GUTS guys decide to break the 500 meter restriction on the Convicted Cinephiles to join them for our first League crossover cast! The crew dig deep to find the gold in one of the hardest places to find it: Video games based off movies. Despite the majority of poop-smeared titles on the market, they manage to wade through to find the nuggets of healthy magic. We find out every Cinephile is a gamer and show the world their weiners. Matt manages to behave himself... this time. Michaela takes a live shit on the mic from the comfort of her own home. This week's Peeve: Spending REAL money to make fake money. For part two of our conversation, head over to Convicted Cinephiles!
Come on and join our three players as they traverse through another level of Gamers Under the Stairs. This week, Aaron is all about games that have not seen the light of mainstream-media; Michael discovers the word Alamogordo and gets stuck in a loop; and Dr. Awesome is ready for virtual reality. This week's Peeve: Not all updates are useful.
GUTS pops off with the news about XBONE dropping the ball and Google's flying robots; Dr. Awesome just wants to clarify something from a previous episode; and the gang wants to know what is the fairest way to price a game? Aaron realized his gaming library is a physical history of games on sale and Dr. Awesome promotes the idea of early access to alpha and beta game builds. This weeks relief is in the code.
The guys start out by Poppin' off the top news stories from the last two weeks. Now that Titanfall is out for all systems, Dr. Awesome wants to know what the deal is with all the robots and Half-Man/Half-Machine games, and do we really need Facebook ON our faces? This weeks Peeve makes us feel lonely when all we want to do is break the law.
This week on Gamers Under the Stairs... Dr. Awesome can not believe the success of Octodad: Dadliest Catch and Michael is on his side, but Aaron is oddly defensive; the trio gets their hopes up for The Last Guardian; and a previously mentioned game has been dropped hard. This week's Peeve has been scaled back a bit.
