Porcelain berry is an invasive vine dubbed the August Weed of the Month by the Minnesota Dept. of Agriculture. It's berries really are aptly named and quite beautiful but the vine can strangle out native plants. It's been found naturalizing in the county I live in. We often talk of providing for pollinators. In fact, I discussed it on Monday while talking about pollinators and roadways. The talk usually centers around wildflowers, perennials and annuals.
