After the Ukrainian-NATO attack on a dorm took 21 lives, the Russian government responded Monday by hitting numerous Ukrainian military sites and support sites. Russian authorities warned all civilians and foreign parties in Kiev to evacuate. European officials claim that they will not leave Kiev despite Moscow’s warnings. Here is Gilbert Doctorow, who for years has been based in Russia, on that.

And European leaders have remained silent on the college dorm attack, instead opting to condemn Russia’s response. As Natali Morris noted in her morning email: “Remember when their favorite phrase was Putin’s unprovoked attacks.’ And now that there is proof of provocation, they can’t see it?”

The Russian government will continue the intense response, and, as Doctorow notes, the European leadership is allowing their Kiev-based tools to be put in grave danger, which would increase the chances of the EU/NATO goons invoking Article Five, claiming that their members had been attacked by Russia in Kiev.

Here’s a question to frame much of the current news and draw in a deeper philosophical and logic-based matter. The question is, “What is “SELF-DEFENSE?” Does self-defense entail you or I forcing our neighbor to pay for our defense? If one believes that, how is that not, thus, engaging in aggressive activity, thus making an aggressor, an enemy of each person doing that? Self-defense is, precisely understood, SELF-DRIVEN AND INDIVIDUALISTIC. It can be nothing more, and only becomes aggregated into larger groups when the INDIVIDUALS forming those groups all agree, based on the exercise of their own free will. Now, let’s see how both the US and Israel (already statist entities that claim they are defending their “people” while engaging in the very crime we mentioned above) claim “self-defense” for their aggressor militaries that are engaging in criminal acts in other nations…

FIRST! The U.S. last night launched what the Trump Admin termed “self-defense strikes” against the nation it has been attacking, blockading, and more - against Iran. -The Trump gang continues to strike first and claim “self-defense.” Astoundingly, CENTCOM told reporters that this does “not indicate ceasefire is over.” Non-US-tied news sources report that U.S. drones were shot down by Iran in the region.

Meanwhile, Israel has launched Operation Arrows of Fire into Lebanon, an escalation with the defense group, Hezbollah.

Reports cite Israeli calls for evacuations in Beirut, while schools in northern Israel have been closed “until further notice.”

Five more, murdered by Israel, in the past few hours.

AND, Israel is bombing a key Lebanese reservoir - a 100% war crime.

Iran has demanded that Israel withdraw from Lebanon as a part of any peace deal but Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu flatly said over the weekend that they will not.

“We’re not taking our foot off the gas; on the contrary, I’ve said to step on the gas even harder,” he said in a video message. As we know, Israel does not want a peace with Iran, and the Israeli govt wants that land called Lebanon.

Netanyahu is ramping up while President Trump offers deflection.

Trump said on Monday that negotiations with Iran were “proceeding nicely” but then said that Iran would have to hand all nuclear material over to the U.S. as a condition of the deal - which, of course, is something the Iranians want to avoid so that they can continue maintaining and expanding their nuclear electric power capacity, and, of course, the Iranian government has said that all nuke talks are off the table until at least 60 days after all other points are negotiated and agreed. Meanwhile, the Trumpers who launched those attacks last night claim they acted in “self-defense” - Nothing like gaslighting to enliven the day, huh?

Here is a key exchange, between Judge Andrew Napolitano and Larry Johnson, as Larry reiterates the fact that the JCPOA agreement to return billions to Iran was about IRANIAN MONEY that the US stole and froze in foreign banks, and Larry and the Judge study the repulsive statements of Ben-Gvir about expanding into Lebanon.

Western media was invited to Luhansk to cover the site where 16 western-Ukrainian drones hit in three waves to kill 20 young people (many children). CNN and MSNBC did not show. I don’t think the BBC or Fox visited. But Chay Bowes, of RT, was there.

- As we last night reported and discussed on Liberty Conspiracy, the Russian government struck Ukrainian military and intel sites, after warning American and other foreign governments and warning Ukrainian civilians to evacuate.

Daniel Davis encapsulates the current situation, as Trump over the weekend claimed the US and Iran were “close” to an agreement, and Iran soon showed that many of Trump’s statements were not backed by facts, then, Trump issued new threats against Iran, posting an image of a bomb emblazoned with “Thank you for your attention to this matter,” and Iran reiterated that they will not relinquish control over their sovereign waters (as recognized internationally) now will the Iranians talk about nuclear refining until after a long secession of US hostilities.

Trump also demanded that all Middle Eastern nations join the Abraham Accords, which he seems to think offers US-backed security in return for these nations accepting Israeli occupation of Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, and Syria. Not only does that push an immoral construct, it is unrealistic to the extreme.

What might a real “deal” entail? Iran will be able to charge for “services” offered to travelers in the Strait of Hormuz, but, under the UN “law of the seas””, nations cannot demand payment for allowing ships through their waters. They can “offer services” and charge for that. Here is Mario Nawfal with Daniel Davis on this facet of the potential agreement.

At the May 20 Munk Debate in NYC, John Mearsheimer, of the University of Chicago and Stephen Walt, of Harvard, argued for U.S. ending the illegitimate US aggression against Iran, cited the long history of US attacks against Iran, US double-standards about Israeli aggression, US failed interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya that drained resources and eroded power, higher prices due to the US attacking Iran and Iran defending via claiming internationally recognized control over sovereign waters, and the Israeli genocide in Gaza. The two professors faced off against two of the most openly corrupt war criminals of our generation: Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and ex-Deputy Victoria Nuland. Pomp and Nu defended what they claimed was “U.S. leadership to counter threats like Iran” — defined by them as “threats” without any actual evidence of Iranian threats against US civilians in the US.

Audience polls shifted from 55-45 to 56-44 in favor of Mearsheimer and Walt’s argument. Here are some examples of the exchanges.

More Israeli-committed, US-backed-funded-armed murder during a “ceasefire” (please note, this is heart-searing material)…

But they frame it as if it were an error, not intentional, when numerous documents and eye-witnesses in Israel show that Netanyahu insisted the payments happen and he wanted Hamas as an entity that would not negotiate, allowing Israel to attack.

As the Israeli occupiers kill more people and seize more land south of the Litani river, the war crimes are piling up. The fact that they routinely kill EMTs seems unimportant to people like Mike Huckabee, Trump, Hegseth, Vance, Rubio, Pompeo, Nuland, and many more in the Zionista camp

This exposes the callous view of the opponent, who includes YOU in his plans, dismisses civilian casualties as “moral grandstanding”, claims that attacking Iran is part of “American safety”, claims that Iran “killed 1,000 Americans” (not true, and those that have died because of direct Iranian action were US soldiers, overseas, involved in immoral and unconstitutional corralling of Iran, attempts at overthrow, working with Iranian enemies, etc.) the young man never mentions that the US gave Iraq chem-weapon precursors to use on Iran, backed Iraq in the war with Iran that saw nearly 300,000 Iranians slaughtered, the US downed an Iranian jet, killing 200 people, the US has imposed an embargo on Iran, and the US has assassinated and helped to assassinate numerous Iranian officials and scientists.

“Negotiations” between the aggressor state of the US and the defender state of Iran have reached their most advanced stage yet, centered on a one-page, 14-point memorandum of understanding (MOU) intended as a short-term framework to formally end the US aggression and attempt to blockade the Persian Gulf. The proposal would reopen the Strait of Hormuz to shipping, lift the US naval blockade on Iranian ports, and begin a 30- to 60-day window for deeper talks on sanctions relief, nuclear issues, and regional security. The Iranians are insisting that the plan includes lifting of US sanctions, repatriation of the funds that were supposed to be returned under the JCPOA, an end to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and reparations for US damages and murders in Iran.
Pakistani mediators have played a key role shuttling proposals. No final agreement has been signed, but both sides publicly describe the text as close to completion, with final details still under discussion.
Trump’s Claims:
Trump posted on Truth Social that “An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries… Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly.” He specifically highlighted that the deal would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and said the progress followed calls with leaders from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain (plus a separate call with Israeli PM Netanyahu). Iranian Government Claims:
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced on state television that the parties are “finalizing” the 14-clause memorandum of understanding as a “kind of framework agreement.” He emphasized that Iran’s priority is “ending the war” on all fronts (including Lebanon), ensuring secure shipping through the Strait of Hormuz without US “piracy” or tolls, and lifting the blockade. Baghaei noted the MOU includes 30- and 60-day timeframes for further talks but stressed it has “not yet been finalized” and described the situation as “both very far and very close” given the deep differences. Iran continues to insist on its right to peaceful nuclear activities and sanctions relief. Between October 2023 and October 2025, Israel imported military-related goods worth 3.22 billion shekels ($886 million) from 51 countries, with 91 percent arriving after the ICJ's January 2024 provisional measures on South Africa's genocide case. The US supplied 42 percent, India 26 percent, and explosive munitions dominated at 62 percent of the total—shipments that continued through ceasefires and even after the October 2025 truce. Legal experts say these transfers may breach obligations under the Genocide Convention and Arms Trade Treaty, as countries like France, Spain, and Canada sent goods despite their own calls for halts. Israel maintains the imports support its defense against Hamas.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s plummeting approval and Labour’s poor polling signal a likely ouster before year’s end, with analysts pegging odds at 80% and prediction markets favoring it by December 2026 amid U-turns, internal revolts, and cost-of-living woes. Starmer has continued a disastrous set of UK policies, ranging from energy starvation via “green” edicts and blockages of Russian fuel (they just changed that latter policy to allow shipments), to silencing of dissent over the genocide in Gaza. It is unlikely he will remain in office through July. Starmer seems completely incapable of getting a clue

As we look at the UK tie to Ukraine’s attack on Russian school lids, let’s recall this, from March. Britain’s announcement of its largest-ever drone package—over 120,000 units including long-range strike and reconnaissance models delivered in 2026—exemplifies how governments waste taxpayer funds escalating foreign conflicts rather than pursuing peace. This UK push to a “military economy” pushes endless war in Ukraine at British citizens’ expense, violating non-intervention by arming one side in a dispute better resolved through diplomacy, and diverting resources from domestic freedoms to military-industrial profiteering. -Broadview ILL Detention Center saw ICE/DHS arrest six innocent people who were protesting. This is the status of their cases: “All charges dropped against 'Broadview Six' after feds admit to errors in case” LINK
AND… Let’s recall the political-economics of this corrupt system.
The Trump administration’s “Detention Reengineering Initiative” includes plans to spend billions (one reported figure is $38+ billion) acquiring and retrofitting commercial warehouses nationwide into large-scale ICE detention and processing centers to handle mass deportations. Critics, including Democratic lawmakers, immigration advocates, and some local officials, allege the move bypasses normal competitive bidding (via military procurement channels), risks inhumane conditions in non-purpose-built facilities, and creates windfall profits for private contractors — with GEO Group (a major existing ICE detention operator) added to pre-qualified vendor lists and facing scrutiny over revolving-door ties (e.g., a former GEO executive now overseeing ICE detention contracts). A handful of politicians have launched investigations into potential conflicts and profiteering. Note, the US government currently has a massive backlog of 3 million cases (that means still-detained, recently detained then released pending further action, or recently detained and sent abroad).

Compared to low baseline rates at end-2024 (around 2-3%), 2026 Trump tariffs imposed broad 10% “reciprocal” duties on most nations—with higher rates on China, India, and Russia (plus sanctions), moderated deals for Japan/EU/UK around 15%, and some exemptions—represent protectionist taxes that raise consumer costs and distort free trade. Libertarians oppose all tariffs as barriers harming Americans first, advocating unilateral free markets over retaliatory cronyism that fails to shrink deficits. LINK

The May 20, US indictment of 94-year-old Raul Castro on 1996 murder charges (for his overseeing the downing of two US jets hired by Cuban-Expats who wanted to overthrow the Cuban government and who flew over Cuban airspace), coupled with Trump’s regime-change rhetoric and blockade threats, embodies dangerous imperialist overreach that risks military escalation against a sovereign nation. Libertarian peace advocates reject such interventions as violations of non-aggression, arguing voluntary diplomacy and open trade—not arrests or overthrow plots—better promote liberty by letting Cubans determine their own path without foreign coercion.
Of course, Mr. Trump doesn’t care about peace, the US Constitution, or morality. He is sending the USS Nimitz to Cuban waters…

…and a few days ago, Trumpola and Rubio sent CIA Dir Ratcliff to Havana, and Ratcliff is said to have brought with him figures who are tied to forces of “regime change” in Venezuela. Ratcliffe reportedly took an operative tied to the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the deaths of Cuban personnel in Venezuela to a unique meeting with Cuban officials in Havana last week, according to reports.

1. UKRAINE-RUSSIA

UKRAINE just hit a Russian dorm, killing at least 6 people, injuring 39. This was a three-phase, SIXTEEN rocket/drone strike that leaves survivors struggling to stay alive as rescuers try to get to them. This development, as well as recent Ukraine drone flights over Estonia and into Finland, indicate a thirst on the part of Zelinsky to draw Russia to hit European interests (European interests supplying weapons, intel, etc). 1. US-ISRAEL-IRAN-GAZA-LEBANON-WEST BANK

IRAN

The US-IRAN “negotiations,” mediated by Pakistan and Gulf states, seek a ceasefire after months of conflict. Al Arabiya reported a leaked draft for an immediate ceasefire, free Gulf navigation, and gradual sanctions relief, but U.S. and Iranian officials have not confirmed it, with reports calling it a placeholder missing key demands like nuclear dismantling. Israeli intelligence is ginning up energy for a new series of strikes by claiming that they have “intel” of a potential Iranian missile and drone attack, while President Trump has paused strikes to give his fraudulent “diplomacy” a chance.

The Strait of Hormuz currently is seeing about 30% of its old traffic. This, mostly, is being facilitated by Iran. Yet US Admin figures continue to act as if they have some kind of leverage, when all the US can do is prolong the problem. The Trump Admin must back off, but he will not do so.

Larry Johnson offers key insights into the ways that the US aggression in the region are seeing Saudi and Kuwaiti interests reorient, towards Iran, away from the US.
