While the book of First Corinthians is known for the many problems and issues that the church there was facing, Paul's letter starts out by saying, "I always thank my God for you because of His grace given you in Christ Jesus" (1 Cor. 1:4). The root of their problem (and ours!) was that they were divided by the sin of pride. But grace points us toward unity.

While Jesus dined with "sinners," the moral outcasts of society, the Pharisees grumbled. Jesus responded by telling three stories that outline God's heart for the lost and the call for His redeemed children to reach out to lost people who need the Saviour.
