Please join me for a very special episode of The Locher Room featuring coming out stories about gay sons and their mothers as we celebrate National Coming Out Day.
Joining me for this special episode will be Psychotherapist Rick Miller who became curious about the relationship between gay men and their mothers, a theme resonating throughout his clinical practice which led him to explore this special relationship in depth. He found that virtually no one was writing about this critical bond. Rick launched the nonprofit organization, Gay Sons and Mothers as a result. This project validates the significance of a mother’s role in her son’s life where, for many decades, she received little encouragement from others!
In addition to Rick, mother and son Helen and Rick Garceau will be here to discuss his coming out, and how he postponed this due to fears of rejection by his parents. Their responses to him were completely accepting, he didn’t need to wait so long!
Please join us to hear these heartwarming stories and my personal coming out with my late mother, Fifi Locher.
