  • Episode 24: The Landis
It's hard not to think of the 80's without thinking of the movies of John Landis. This is the guy who was responsible for making not only the movie that started the low-budget frat sex comedies that followed in its wake (Animal House) but also the greatest music video ever with Michael Jackson's "Thriller", a top notch werewolf flick (An American Werewolf in London), and one of the most raucous musicals in history with The Blues Brothers.

Tune in as we talk about "The Landis". But first we talk about Josh's trip to Los Angeles, What We Do in the Shadows, the Alien series, and much more!

  • Episode 23: A Nightmare On Elm Street 2
This week Chris and Josh are joined by Matt Kelly from The Saint Mort Show and Horror Movie Night podcasts to talk all about your favourite razor-handed killer, Freddy Krueger. For our second, more streamlined, movie specific episode we decided to skip the Wes Craven original and dive right into the bizarre, at times, "what were they thinking?" follow-up that is "Freddy's Revenge".

Directed by Jack Sholder this picks up five years after the original and promises some more Freddy, a possession angle you weren't expecting, a bedroom dance sequence so common in 80's flicks, and a whole lot of thinly veiled homosexuality. So join us as we led you through this second venture into Springwood!

But first we'll tell you what we've been watching and talk about such films as Crystal Lake Memories, Lucy, Cheap Thrills, and even Gnaw: Food of the Gods 2!

What happens when the youth is pushed to far or given free reign to do as they please? Chaos, that' s what! Join us as we talk about such flicks as River's Edge, Tuff Turf, Kids, and many more!

As always we start by talking about what we've been up to and cover such topics as Alien 3, The Changeling, Burt Reynolds toupee action extravaganza Malone, and Ernest Cline's "Ready Player One".

  • Episode 21: Street Trash
    [Warning: Spoilers Within]

Welcome to our first movie specific episode as we tackle the 1987 gore cult classic "Street Trash"!

Directed by Jim Muro and written by Roy Frumkes (Document of the Dead), this little ditty is about the homeless population in New York City who not only have to deal with a crazed Vietnam vet but also the fact the cheap one-dollar liquor from the nearby store (Tenafly Viper) is causing them all to explode in a gooey gooey mess!

Tune in and hear us tell you what we thought about this journey through grimy offensiveness as we take you through the journey of the craziness that is STREET TRASH.

Afterwards be sure to head over to our Facebook page and Twitter (see below) to share your thoughts. We'd also love it if you subscribed and gave us a rating on iTunes - every little bit helps!

  • Episode 20: Found Footage
Summer vacation is officially over for us which could only mean... more episodes! For our return we've decided to tackle the found footage sub-genre that seems to be taking over the horror genre at the moment.

Despite Chris' bitterness and Josh's willingness to seemingly watch ANY found footage flick they both manage to agree on what some of the best ones out there are as well as briefly looking at where these types of films came from, talking about why its such a 'love it or hate it' sub-genre, and which ones they're looking forward to seeing.

But first we talk about what we've been watching and it involves Deliverance style softball chicks, Japanese mafia, Chuck Norris, and more!

  • Episode 19: Movie Memories
For episode 19 of The Good, The Bad & The Wretched we hop into a time machine to get nostalgic (again) and talk about our favourite movie memories.

What movies shaped our tastes? What's the first flick we remember seeing in the cinema? Who the hell was that creepy guy Chris saw during a Halloween movie? All this and more will be answered here.

  • Episode 18: The Wasteland
In honour of the release of George Miller's latest Max Max epic "Fury Road" we've decided to take a leap into the bleak future where resources are scarce, cars and people are armoured up and all punk rock, and our heroes are gruff.

That's right, it's the apocalypse, baby! From the Max series to the numerous Italian rip-offs, we tackle wasteland apocalypse flicks that give us a glimpse into the "oh so near" future. Hear us praise Fury Road, talk of how crazy those Italians are, and even Don Johnson and his telepathic canine friend (A Boy and his Dog). Tune in now because, unlike gasoline and water, there's definitely NOT a shortage on post-apocalypse bad asses.

  • Episode 17: Science!
Science has its good sides and its bad sides. For episode 17 we focus on the bad side. We're talking manic, change-the-world-for-the-worse types of scientists who lust for power and recognition while not hesitating to do nasty things to the human body.

You may be familiar with names like Victor Frankenstein or Herbert West but we've come up with a list of mad scientists who are sure to steal your heart - or rip it out!

  • Episode 16: M.I.A. Directors
Have you ever watched a movie and thought "That was great! I wonder what else the director made?" only to hop on IMDB and see the answer is: not much. Disappointment ensues.

For episode 16 we've compiled a list of directors who"ve made movies we truly love before seemingly vanishing off the face of the Earth. Here we tell you of filmmakers we'd really love to see make a new movie - if only to please our fanboy inklings. But first we catch you up to speed on what we've seen including a little bit of "It Follows" and (even more) Jason.

  • Episode 15: We Get Nostalgic
We can all admit that our tween and teenage years is where we began to develop our taste in entertainment. It was when we gathered together our idols, found things cooler than they probably deserved to be, and (of course) fell in love and had crushes on the opposite sex.

For episode 15 we get completely nostalgic. Being children of the 80's, we talk all about the actors, actresses, and even parody musicians ("Weird Al"?!) who made an impression on our young minds. First we talk all about what we've been watching and it's a mix that involves Jason (surprise!), samurais, and a little bit of witch torture.
