As a society we take great pride in our personal rites, our individual dreams, and our ability to accomplish things on our own. This week we will be reminded that we have indeed been rescued from a life that is predominately concerned with ME into a life that is now concerned for the WE. The WE is the body of Christ on earth that we have been baptized into through the grace and love of Jesus. We have been rescued from a self-serving existence to a life of serving others and looking out for the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

As followers of Jesus we have been empowered for a bold, brave and courageous life of faith as we take the love that has been given to us and give that love away to others. While we know this is true than why are we so often plagued by feelings of doubt, timid spirits and lack of confidence in the goodness and power of our God? This week we will be empowered and encouraged to a life of daring faith as we see that we have been rescued from our doubts and have been empowered to a life of confidence and boldness in the gospel of Jesus.

As followers of Jesus we have been empowered for a bold, brave and courageous life of faith as we take the love that has been given to us and give that love away to others. This week we look at the reality of the evil & power of satan but also the good & sovereign power of our God in this world. Evil is best understood as a lack, or a perversion of good, and good is best seen when we know who God is. Only when we look at how good God is can, we form any idea of the devil’s badness. What an amazing thing Jesus did for us all to rescue us from the domain of satan & evil and transfer us into His Kingdom of light & grace. May we be empowered and encouraged to live without fear of the evil one as we live through the truth that we have been rescued from satan into the salvation of Jesus Christ.
