Being free from something doesn't mean it stops trying to pull you back. In Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Rita Repulsa keeps trying to drag Tommy back under her control even after he's already broken free. Dallas talks through what to actually do when old habits creep back in, what 1 Corinthians 15 and James 4:7 say about it, and why asking for help is harder, and more essential, than most people think.Dallas' book "How Do I Actually Pray" is officially out👉 https://a.co/d/0irxv3h9If you've read it, a review on Amazon genuinely helps other people find it. Ever feel like your gifts don't measure up to someone else's? Dallas takes a look at Power Rangers Mystic Force this week, specifically an episode where Nick assumes Maddie is "missing life" because she's always behind a camera, and finds out she's using it to show people they're loved. It's a launch pad into 1 Corinthians 12 and what it actually means that everybody's gifts look different, and why that's not a problem to fix.🎪 We're at GeekCon this weekend!Dallas' book "How Do I Actually Pray" is here 👉 https://a.co/d/0irxv3h9💙 Support Geek Devotions: https://geekdevotions.com/support/⚡️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/GeekDevotions📱 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GeekDevotionsInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/GeekDevotionsTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@geekdevotions💙 THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe are so thankful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible: Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Branson Boykin, Nerd Chapel, Jacob Russell, Jeffrey Leon, Jonathan Herrman, Kevin Lovelace, Lady Lomax, Paul Turner, Paul J Powers, Savie Wilson, The Cel Cast, Monster Island Film Vault — and so many more. In 2017, Power Rangers and the Justice League crossed paths in a Boom! Studios and DC Comics miniseries, and Zack, the Black Ranger, spent most of it drowning in guilt over a mistake that started the whole mess. Celeste talks through what Zack's guilt gets right, what it gets wrong, and what Superman actually tells him about it. She also dig into Titus 2:11-12 and what it means to live with grace that trains you instead of grace that just excuses you. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender just hit Paramount+, and it's not just a nostalgic reunion with Team Avatar all grown up. It's a story about two men both wrecked by guilt, one who buried it in bitterness, one who's been silently punishing himself for it for over a hundred years. Dallas breaks down the difference between conviction and condemnation, and why only one of them actually leads somewhere good. This also kicks off Season 11 of Geek Devotions. Dallas admits it: he's not good at Street Fighter 6, and he's grinding the ranked ladder anyway. But there's a catch — he's actually learned to enjoy losing, because every loss is a chance to see what needs to change. From switching off Modern controls to getting wrecked by a friend who's been playing way longer, this episode is about what it looks like to actually take correction well (Proverbs 15:31-32) instead of just talking about it.
Question of the Week: What's your favorite fighting game, and who do you main? Drop it in the comments!

The new Ghost in the Shell anime just hit Prime Video, and it looks nothing like the movie you remember. Dallas breaks down why that's not a betrayal of the source material, it's actually closer to it, and what that has to do with how quick we are to flatten people into one trait instead of seeing the whole person (Proverbs 20:5).📺 Watch The Ghost in the Shell on Prime Video (streaming now)Sign up for updates on Dallas' upcoming book "How Do I Actually Pray" 👉 https://mailchi.mp/b7ddcf5cc33a/how-do-i-actually-pray🎪 Catch us at Geek'd Con in Shreveport, LA this August!💙 Support Geek Devotions: https://geekdevotions.com/support/⚡️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/GeekDevotions📱 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GeekDevotionsInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/GeekDevotionsTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@geekdevotions💙 THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe are so thankful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible: Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Branson Boykin, Nerd Chapel, Jacob Russell, Jeffrey Leon, Jonathan Herrman, Kevin Lovelace, Lady Lomax, Paul Turner, Paul J Powers, Savie Wilson, The Cel Cast, Monster Island Film Vault — and so many more. Summer got busy fast, and Celeste found herself feeling as chaotic on the inside as her schedule looked on the outside. In this devotion, she gets honest about what happens when good things pile up all at once, and walks through two scriptures, Exodus 33:14-15 and Isaiah 26:3, that reframe peace as something you choose rather than something you feel. It's a short, personal reminder that even good busyness can quietly pull your focus off God if you let it.
📖 Scriptures referenced: Exodus 33:14-15, Isaiah 26:3

There's a kind of confusion that hits when you've been away from something you love for too long. That's where Dallas and Celeste found themselves this week, trying to catch up on Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War before heading to see "The Calamity" in theaters, and realizing how much they'd forgotten. In this episode, Dallas walks through that experience and connects it to a story from 2 Kings 22, where King Josiah rediscovers the Book of the Law after generations of neglect, and to anyone who's ever come back to faith carrying assumptions instead of Scripture. The episode is a call to go back to the source, whether that's a story you love or the Word you've drifted from.
🎬 Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity is in theaters now through Fathom Entertainment's limited theatrical event (June 25–29, 2026).

There are moments in faith where the path forward is unclear, and all we can do is trust. This episode features the message Dallas preached at The Healing Place (www.thpshreveport.com) during their online gathering, continuing the Names of God series with a teaching on Jehovah Jireh — "the Lord will provide." Walking through Genesis 22 and the binding of Isaac, Dallas unpacks why the ram in the thicket means more than we usually realize, and what it costs to put something on the altar.⛪️ This message was originally preached at The Healing Place's online gathering: https://www.thpshreveport.comQuestion of the Week: What's something you've had to lay on the altar and trust God with?
