What happens when everything falls apart and you're the only one left standing?

In this Season 10 kickoff of Geek Devotions, Dallas dives into The Last Ronin, a gritty Ninja Turtles story where Michelangelo faces loss, grief, and the weight of legacy. But instead of giving up, he presses forward. He learns. He becomes who he needs to be for the next generation.

We also take a look at the story of Joseph in Genesis. Just like Mikey, Joseph went through things that should have taken him out. But he stayed faithful. And God used those moments to build something bigger than Joseph could have imagined.

If you're walking through something hard, this one's for you. God hasn’t forgotten you. And what you're going through right now might just be preparing you to help someone else down the road.

In this season finale of Geek Devotions, we look at K-Pop Demon Hunters, a movie that’s just as ridiculous as it sounds, and discover a surprisingly powerful message about the weight of secrets, the freedom found in confession, and the grace of forgiveness.Let’s be real: we’ve all had moments where something eats away at us because we’re too afraid to talk about it. But Scripture reminds us that healing begins when we’re honest, with God, with ourselves, and with someone we trust. 📖 Scripture References: Matthew 18:15, James 5:15–16🧠 We’ll explore:Why confession isn’t about shame, it’s about healingHow community and honesty go hand in handWhat it really means to "let the past be the past till it’s weightless"THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe’re incredibly grateful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible:Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Lady Lommax, Paul Turner, Jacob Russell, Mike Alderman, Nerd Chapel, Monster Island Film Vault, PaulJPowers.com, Michael Manacci, The Cel Cast, Savie Wilson, John Harju, Kevin Lovelace, Branson Boykin, Leah Miller, Brianna Sheagley — and so many more.Thank you for your continued support!SUPPORT GEEK DEVOTIONSWant to help us keep doing what we do? Welcome to Part 4 of our Discovering Faith series! Today we’re diving into the final portion of series: the Gift of Faith! What is it? Where does it come from? How can it change lives. This isn’t about manufactured belief; it's about operating in a supernatural trust that comes directly from God.To help break it down, we're using an epic illustration from My Hero Academia! Just like All Might passed down the "One For All" quirk to Deku Midoriya, the gift of faith is passed to us, not earned, but entrusted. In this episode:✅ Discover the biblical roots of the Gift of Faith✅ Learn how it empowers you to live boldly (and humbly)✅ See how it ties together saving faith and faithfulness✅ Geek out with My Hero Academia and Mark 11, Acts 3, and more!If you’ve missed the previous parts in this series:👉 Discovering Faith Part 1 – What Is Faith?: https://youtu.be/rTRMfFGjfjQ 👉 Discovering Faith Part 2 – Saving Faith and The Matrix: https://youtu.be/CK806ps38Ns 👉 Discovering Faith Part 3 – Faithfulness & Ghost of Tsushima: https://youtu.be/myRFhgoFjgITHANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe’re incredibly grateful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible:Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Lady Lommax, Paul Turner, Jacob Russell, Mike Alderman, Nerd Chapel, Monster Island Film Vault, PaulJPowers.com, Michael Manacci, The Cel Cast, Savie Wilson, John Harju, Kevin Lovelace, Branson Boykin, Leah Miller, Brianna Sheagley — and so many more.Thank you for your continued support!SUPPORT GEEK DEVOTIONSWant to help us keep doing what we do? In Part 3 of our Discovering Faith series, we’re talking about faithfulness, not just as a trait, but as the fruit the Holy Spirit produces in us as we walk with God every day. It’s not flashy. It’s not always easy. But it’s powerful. This week, we look at Ghost of Tsushima and how Jin Sakai’s journey reflects the kind of faithfulness that shows up in real life, built on a foundation, tested through emotion, and lived out in hard choices.📖 Featuring: Lamentations 3:22–23, Psalm 13:5, Luke 22🎮 Based on: Ghost of Tsushima (base game)Check out part 1: What is Faith: https://youtu.be/rTRMfFGjfjQ Check out part 2: What is Saving Faith: https://youtu.be/CK806ps38Ns THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe’re incredibly grateful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible:Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Lady Lommax, Paul Turner, Jacob Russell, Mike Alderman, Nerd Chapel, Monster Island Film Vault, PaulJPowers.com, Michael Manacci, The Cel Cast, Savie Wilson, John Harju, Kevin Lovelace, Branson Boykin, Leah Miller, Brianna Sheagley — and so many more.Thank you for your continued support!SUPPORT GEEK DEVOTIONSWant to help us keep doing what we do? Saving faith is more than just believing something in your head or feeling something in your heart. It’s a real, full-on step forward. In this episode, we break down what saving faith actually is and how it plays out in real life.Using The Matrix as a metaphor, we walk through the three key parts of saving faith: hearing the truth, being convicted by it, and taking that next step into action. Just like Neo had to make a choice, red pill or blue pill, we all come to a moment where we decide what we’re going to do with what we’ve heard and what we feel.Whether you’re a long-time believer or just now asking questions about Jesus, this conversation is for you.See Part One: What is Faith - https://youtu.be/rTRMfFGjfjQ Scriptures Used:Ephesians 2:8Romans 10:17Psalm 19:1John 16:8Matthew 13:3–9; 18–23Special shout out to  @ChristForTheNationsInc , Back in the early 2000's Dallas went to  @Youthforthenations  and your matrix themed camp that year helped to solidify some things in him.THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe’re incredibly grateful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible:Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Lady Lommax, Paul Turner, Jacob Russell, Mike Alderman, Nerd Chapel, Monster Island Film Vault, PaulJPowers.com, Michael Manacci, The Cel Cast, Savie Wilson, John Harju, Kevin Lovelace, Branson Boykin, Leah Miller, Brianna Sheagley — and so many more.Thank you for your continued support!SUPPORT GEEK DEVOTIONSWant to help us keep doing what we do? In this week’s Geek Devotions, guest host Drew from The Cel Cast Podcast takes the wheel for a powerful and geeky devotional inspired by Mario Kart World and Hebrews 12:1–2. Life can feel like a chaotic race — full of red shells, detours, and moments where we just want to give up. But what if the goal isn’t to come in first… but simply to finish the race?Drew explores what it means to keep moving forward in your faith, even when you stumble, and reminds us that we’re not running alone — there’s a crowd cheering you on, and Jesus already crossed the finish line to make a way for you.Check out  @TheCelCastPodcast  : https://thecelcast.podbean.com/THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe’re incredibly grateful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible:Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Lady Lommax, Paul Turner, Jacob Russell, Mike Alderman, Nerd Chapel, Monster Island Film Vault, PaulJPowers.com, Michael Manacci, The Cel Cast, Savie Wilson, John Harju, Kevin Lovelace, Branson Boykin, Leah Miller, Brianna Sheagley — and so many more.Thank you for your continued support!SUPPORT GEEK DEVOTIONSWant to help us keep doing what we do? What is faith, really? Is it just believing harder, or is there something deeper going on?In this first episode of our new 4-part series Discovering Faith, we dive into Hebrews 11 to uncover a biblical understanding of faith, one that blends the testimony of the past, conviction in the present, and bold action into the future.Whether you're into anime, comics, or gaming, we’ve all seen those moments when a hero is called to step out, not just because they believe, but because something inside them knows it's time. That’s what real faith looks like.📖 Scripture Reference: Hebrews 11:1🧠 We’ll explore:Why faith isn't just emotional or intellectualHow the testimonies of others spark our own journeyWhat it means to step forward even when things feel uncertain🙌 Stick around for the full series:1️⃣ What is Faith?
