We've got some catching up to do after last week, so we've got a lot of games we've been playing to talk about including: Onrush, Cluster Truck, Notmycar Beta, Devil May Cry 1, 3, 4 & 5 beta, Quarantine Circular & Dragalia Lost. We've got a "quick" Destiny Download. (Starts about 1:00:00 and ends 1:17:12).

In the news, Epic Games is making their cross-platform toolkit available to all developers for FREE! And they've launched their new Epic Games Store, a place to buy PC/mac games. They will take a much smaller cut from developers than Steam does! Then Discord announced that their game store will take even less from developers! So it's a good time to be an indie game developer!

In our feature, we discuss which games we're most excited for in 2019 (or possibly coming in 2019...or we just hope might come in 2019). We list our top 6 as well as some listener choices. Games include Anthem (big surprise, right?), New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Devil May Cry 5, Trials Rising, The Division 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2, Titanfall 3 (it's REAAALLLY wishful thinking), the new Core Pokemon game, Resident Evil 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Town, Kingdom Hearts 3, Psychonauts 2, Phoenix Wright, RPG Maker MV, Digimon Survive, and Diablo Immortal.

We've been playing Spyro Remastered, Race the Sun, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and Realm Royale! We haven't gotten enough time in Red Dead Online yet, but we know you have to make a rough looking character....

In other news, Warcraft is getting a mobile game similar to Pokemon Go; the Nintendo Creators program is ending so now creators can monetize their videos; and Cody goes in depth on the situation that is Fallout 76.

We round things out with our predictions for some of the Game Awards winners! Tune in next week to see who got the most correct!

Pokemon Let's Go has arrived and we have a lot to talk about! The cuteness of catching adorable creatures is balanced out with the brutality of WWII as we also do a deep dive into Battlefield V. Other games we talk about include Diablo 3 (because Cody can't wait for Path of Exile) and Smite. And Sam got a bad ending in Serafina's Crown (from Woodsy Studios who also did Miraclr and Echoes of the Fey). We also recap our Black Friday buys.

And that's about it. For real, we talked A LOT about Pokemon and Battlefield V.

This week, we talk Black Friday Deals and what we're thankful for in video games. Sam gives an update on Google's Project Stream Beta (turns out internet isn't super reliable). Cody has finished his Red Dead Redemption 2 journey and Sam has finished her Tetris Effect journey. We also talk Lineage 2: Revolution; Skate 3 and the Black Desert Beta.

The best X018 news is that Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is coming to Game Pass - so go play that because it's one of our all time favorite games! In other news, Sony pulls out of E3, the Detective Pikachu trailer is winning everyone over and....no, I think that's all the news this week.

This week, we give an in-depth recap of our Extra Life streaming last weekend. Special thanks to our Podcast Posse teammates and everyone who donated! Together, we raised $1,385 for children's hospitals!

Cody has been playing more and more Red Dead Redemption 2, and it's becoming more likely it's one of his GOTY contenders! He also reiterates how wonderful Tetris Effect is! Sam's trying out Reigns: Game of Thrones and Infinity Runner (her decision to buy cheap games is validated!!)

Sam also completed her first Raid in Destiny! And she's super excited that this month's PS Plus games includes Roundabout!! Go download that diamond in the rough!

Other games discussed: Stardew Valley, Call of Duty Blackops, Jeopardy, Killing Floor, Super Meatboy, Immortal Redneck, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, Strange Brigade.

We decided to try something new and exciting by Live Streaming our podcast recording!! We hit some snags, so please excuse the technical difficulties!

The Extra Life streaming weekend is over and we thank everyone who donated as well as everyone who tuned into our streams - you all are the best! Also, you can still donate year-round at http://geekheartgames.com/extralife

Six-Shooter Sam and Cody the Kid release their inner cowpokes as they give their opinions on Red Dead Redemption 2. We've also been playing the Tetris Effect Demo; Starlink: Battle for Atlas; Maple Story 2 and in the most surprising of twists....Cody has returned to Resident Evil 7!!! We also have what might be our last Horror Check In as we discuss the new Halloween movie as well as the Netflix anthology movie Tales of Halloween and the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

We skip our usual Destiny Download but bring you the exciting news that the base game of Destiny 2 is FREE ON PC until Nov 18, so go claim your free game now!

In other news, World of Warcraft Classic is getting a release next summer (and we may never see Cody again), Diablo fans are not happy about the new mobile game Diablo Immortal, and Sam falls asleep while Cody recaps the Super Smash Bros Nintendo Direct.

Extra Life is coming Nov 2 & 3. You can donate at geekheartgames.com/ExtraLife

As our month of horror is drawing to a close, we look back at horror games through the ages. Starting with games like Killer Shark and Haunted House, progressing through the 80's crash gabs with Halloween, Friday the 13th (for commodore 64) and Ghostbusters, to the dawning of our more well known franchises like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, then to the 2000's with Dead Rising and Dead Space, and finally into our modern era with Until Dawn, Outlast, the Evil Within & Doom.

We also take a look at different genres like Asymmetrical (Friday the 13th; Dead by Daylight), Survival (everything tends to get lumped into survival), Horror Adventure (Until Dawn), Horror Shooters (Dead Space & Doom), and Horror Puzzles (Friday the 13th Killer Puzzles; Limbo; Inside).

We also have our regular Horror Check in where Cody's been listening to the 80's Slasher Librarian on YouTube, reading the classic Friday the 13th: Church of the Divine Psychopath and Sam read The Fireman by Joe Hill.

As for what we've been playing, Cody got his first win in Blackout, while Sam has had a disappointing run in horror games with Daylight, No More Room in Hell and Cry of Fear.
