Geek Out! with Mainframe

Episode 8 is an interview with Philippa Ballantine. Philippa, or "Pip" to her friends far and wide, is THE premiere podcast author from New Zealand. In addition to her own acclaimed novels and podcast versions of those novels; she has appeared as a voice actor on a number of other podcast dramas. She is truly a delight as writer, voice actor, and interview guest :)I was honored for this podcast to be an official internet stop for promoting Philipa's new book. I’m pretty stoked about the book release of “Geist” … especially after reading the first chapter preview – http://www.booksoftheorder.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/sample_geist1.pdf . For more of the Geist tour you can go to http://www.pjballantine.com/about/appearances/ with dates. I think you will be in for a treat for all the tour “stops”.

And if you are interested in the site for “Geist”, it’s at http://www.booksoftheorder.com/ with a link to order the book on Amazon. And yes, I made my pre-order, and I am waiting anxiously.

You can share your own paranormal experience with the world on the “Geist” site (anonymously if you’d prefer) by emailing [email protected] – more details on the “Geist” web site.

Episode 6 is the second half of the interview with podcast novelist P. C. Haring. His podiobook "Cybrosis" is a strong showing, with a stellar voice acting cast and writing to match. He is a long time member of the podcasting community and a really nice guy.

We talk about being in podcasts together; being in the podcast community; the importance of beta readers; and hints of what Paul has planned for future podcast fiction! I also ask P. C. a question I promise not to ask in any future interviews, but thanks to Paul for being a good sport. :)

Welcome to the introductory episode of "Geek Out! with Mainframe".

Future episodes will be interviews of Internet media creators, such as podiobooks authors, and perhaps some of their fans.

At the top of the interviews, we'll plug their projects but quickly we'll go off the beaten path and onto geeky side roads.  Hopefully, you'll see a different side than you might in other interview shows.

I may throw in little mini-episodes with geeky tips, especially the cheap kind.

And after a few episodes, I hope to interview some of the listeners of this podcast.
