Scott and Steve catch up with their exercise regimes then talk about some of the latest sci-fi news, including a claim from Scott that could end up bringing the podcast to an early close. After that the grouchy old geeks go all Room 101 and decide which shows it's time to consign to history and cancel from ever making a new episode.

This is Bags of Action. The podcast devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them are awesome! In this episode we discuss the 2013 Gerard Butler led action extravaganza, Olympus Has Fallen. This was Steve's choice and neither hosts had seen it before. The discussion went in a few unexpected directions and it proved to be quite a fun and interesting talk.

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most beloved franchises in video gaming and in this quest of The Next Level podcast, Ant is joined by Stacey Taylor from Stacey's Pop Culture Podcast to have a look back at Nintendo's premiere game series. That's right - Mario can take a step down. Hear tales of drunken back-seat gaming, adventures in Hyrule, share in some fond gaming memories and listen to some brief thoughts about Breath of the Wild.

As ever, let us know what you thought of this episode, leave a note in the comments or via twitter (@TheNextLevel_GS) or email ([email protected]) and be sure to check out Stacey over at https://popcultureparlour.podbean.com/ and on twitter (@staceysparlour). Finally, please please please do have a wander over to http://www.superpod.co.uk and join in their mamoth 36 hour live podcast event to raise money for Comic Relief. Here's some words from the Super Pod's site to give you a hint of what will be on offer from 9am on Saturday March 25th until 10pm Sunday March 26th:

The Southampton Super-Pod is planned to be a 36 hour live podcast in March 2017. Super-Pod will bring together several great local podcasts for this live spectacular show in aid of Comic Relief.

There will be live versions of different podcasts throughout the 36 hours, interspersed with mash-up shows, challenges, interviews and a whole lot of fun. It only took a matter of hours from coming up with the idea to contacting our first potential podcasters, and we had a great response with several confirming their interest straight away!

Joining us in some capacity will be the Dead Piett Society, Gallifrey Stands, Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour, The Dredgeland Podcast Spectacular, Nintendo Podcast System, 2 Grown Men. And many more!

For the details of all confirmed shows, check out our schedule, which will be updated regularly as we get closer to the event weekend.

Welcome to Grouchy Old Geeks, a monthly podcast that discusses everything and anything in geek news, from the Statler and Waldorf of British podcasts hosts. Previously GoG was called Comic Book Outsiders, and we've been podcasting for 9 years. We decided a rebrand and refresh was in order to reflect how the show has changed over the years.

This month we discuss some of the latest news and reviews, and then for our main feature we discuss Board Games. Apologies for some of the sound problems and repetition during Scott's part of the conversation. This is because he has just moved house, as he explains in the episode, and his internet connection is not brilliant. Hopefully the problem will be resolved for the next episode in April, so please bear with us. The episode is still clear and you can understand what is being said.

Drawing their demon swords and gruntingly grappling the inadvertently homoerotic couple of Kehaar & Matt Burrough into Moorcock.

Now that's out our system we compare two pulp titans - Edgar Rice Burroughs & Michael Moorcock

Topics include

* John carpenter of mars (no that wasn't a typo!)

* Philip Jose Farmer & William S Burroughs

* adaptations from Netflix to Hawkwind

* dodging the horror

* who is the more modern writer and who is the more Stan Lee

* legacy and tributes

Help sick children & sponsor Kehaar for the 10k & half marathons here https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Andrew-Clark49

Apologies about the sound quality but Kehaar is currently recording in his kitchen and the dishwasher wanted the occasional say.

This is Bags of Action. The podcast devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them are awesome! In this episode we return to a more relaxed approach to selecting film. Pete chose this film, on the basis of wanting some more Donnie Yen after seeing Rogue One and neither he or Steve had see this film before.

The film follows Donnie Yen's character, a former martial arts instructor for the police, as he helps them track down a killer who is targetting martial arts experts. But who he is and why he is targetting them? And what is his connection to our main character?
