The Geek Patrol members are expressing their very different points of view regarding new movies as well as a few time honored classics. Then, just in time for shopping, they look at the amazing number of robots now for sale, from the price of a hamburger to hundreds of thousands of dollars each. Are you ready to have a robot in your house?

Each holiday has its own movies, Every Halloween and Thanksgiving, there are movies and shows that you can count on being on television and streaming. However, they both pale in comparison with the sheer volume of Christmas related movies and specials that are everywhere. Allan shows Joe that the Victorian tradition of telling ghost stories is alive and well today because most of the modern holiday stories are still pretty scary when you look at them.

The Geek Patrol recorded live at the Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention. This is a little look behind the curtain at what it takes to attend , work with, or even run a convention. Plenty of artists, vendors, cos-players, and entertainers take over a hotel for a weekend of fun sharing their favorite parts of their fandoms.

Allan starts off wondering about what a new take on the 1958 classic "Forbidden Planet" would look like with a modern take. Brandon and Joe have lots of in formation about the upcoming Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention.

The Geek Patrol open up with a few stories and thoughts about MCFC's past, present, and future. Joe interviews writer Richard Born who is releasing book 6 of his Hellman Elementary School series. They wrap up with a critique of the storytelling quality associated with the city of Gotham.

Joe welcomes Danny Chamberlin from the Mid-South Makers to the show and they discuss all the features, tools, and programs they bring to the area. Then, Max and Allan dive into the amazing career of Japanese animator, filmmaker, manga artist, and a founder of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki. He is widely regarded as one of the best filmmakers in the history of animation.

Joe, Brandon, and Allan start off with a salute to all things Halloween. Then, Brandon reviews the haunted attractions in the Memphis area. Allan and Brandon are also impressed with the new Kathy Bates show, Matlock, and how in this version, nothing is what it seems and actually challenges the audience to keep up. Allan dives into seasonal geek foods being offered including crabby patties.

Joe and Brandon are happy to bring Donnie Juengling from The Memphis Comic Expo on the show to talk about the upcoming convention and the artists that will be attending. Matt Bauer joins the conversation to describe what it is like being a comic book artist and his work the features locations around Memphis.

The Geek Patrol sent Joe to see the new Joker 2 movie. He thought the original Joker was amazing. He is fairly certain that Joker 2 was no Joker. Then the patrol dives into the new season of Forged in Fire and the new siege weapon challenges. Since weapons like this figure heavily into fantasy, anime, and even sci-fi movies, everyone was suitably impressed with seeing what it takes to make and use these devices.

We sadly have to pay tribute to an icon of the theater and movies, Dame Maggie Smith has passed, however, she has left with nearly 70 years of great performances. Then, the patrol shifts gears as Joe has questions about reunion tours by bands and the issues that seem to crop up. Brandon and Alyssa dive in and provide lots of answers.
