Mary discovers she’s pregnant and decides to write to Adam's estranged father and invite him to town, despite Adam’s objections. No one is shocked when he turns out to be a douchebag. Doc Baker comes around, so of course there’s a tragic fatality.  Laura has turned into Mary, Albert falls in love with his teacher, and a questioning kid saves the day. Jennie loves the movie Anaconda, and Amye remembers her obsession with the book Love Story in high school. Also- we wonder why you need a stunt double on the set of Jerry Macquire?

Amye slacked off and didn't write a description so here it goes: Carrie is in an acid fever dream where she meets her twin and she takes her to heaven to visit Johnathan aka Mr. Simms. Pa is on some crappy job again because he still has no agent. Carrie tries to mack on Laura's friend Andrew but is met with a big scoop of NOPE as soon as he lays eyes on her.  Someone uses fake fruit as a prop and Jennie flies into the rage corner because she can't tolerate bad set styling. Why did we watch this one?? Amye tries to blame the Me-Me's.

The mediocre writing continues as we are dragged into episode two of this story arc. Having completed half of the journey from Winoka to the new blind school in Walnut Grove, the “blind school brigade” must face a deadly challenge in the form of a calm, shallow river. Adam hulks out in a moment of PTSD, Joe Kagan creeps on Hester Sue, and Harriet turns out to not be a bigot after all. Oh, and Carrie prays to a chicken wing. It's moving time for the blind school, yet we spend the first twenty minutes of the episode exploring horrific racism. Seems the good christians of Walnut Grove don't want to let Joe Kagan pray in their church. Then, we learn another good christian man, Standish, is buying the blind school out from under Mary and Adam. In both scenarios, Pa saves the day- to no one's surprise. We get an update on Jennie's move, we spend quite a while talking sh*t about our parents, and we both agree Nels needs to find his backbone.

Nels is still feeling the aftereffects of his city life and rages on Harriet, Charles may be getting hotter, and Doc Baker loses yet another patient in his care.
