11/24/2024: Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, October 2024 General Conference, "Nourish the Roots, and the Branches Will Grow".
Mitch identified the following invitations and shared ideas for taking action:
1. "If you want to nourish a tree, you don't splash water on the branches. You water the roots. Similarly, if you want the branches of your testimony to grow and bear fruit, nourish the roots. If you are uncertain about a particular doctrine or practice or element of Church history, seek clarity with faith in Jesus Christ. Seek to understand His sacrifice for you, His love for you, His will for you. Follow Him in humility. The branches of your testimony will draw strength from your deepening faith in Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son."
2. "We must ask ourselves: Is my testimony based on what I hope to happen in my life? Is it dependent on the actions or attitudes of others? Or is it firmly founded on Jesus Christ, 'rooted and built up in him,' regardless of life's changing circumstances?"

11/21/2024: President Jeffrey R. Holland, October 2024 General Conference, "'I Am He'".
Mitch identified the following invitations and shared ideas for taking action:
1. "Down through history many have simplified, even trivialized our image of [Jesus Christ] and His witness of who He was. They have reduced His righteousness to mere prudishness, His justice to mere anger, His mercy to mere permissiveness. We must not be guilty of such simplistic versions of Him that conveniently ignore teachings we find uncomfortable."
2. "During His mortal mission, Jesus taught that there were two great commandments. … If we are to follow the Savior faithfully in these two crucial and inextricably linked rules, we ought to hold firmly to what He actually said."
3. "So, through abundance as well as poverty, through private acclaim as well as public criticism, through the divine elements of the Restoration as well as the human foibles that will inevitably be part of it, we stay the course with the true Church of Christ."

11/10/2024: President Henry B. Eyring, October 2024 General Conference, "Simple Is the Doctrine of Jesus Christ".
Mitch identified the following invitations and shared ideas for taking action:
1. "As we teach these principles to those we love, the Holy Ghost will help us to know the truth. Because we need the promptings of the Holy Ghost, we must avoid speculation or personal interpretation that goes beyond teaching true doctrine."
2. "We should seize every opportunity to share the teachings of Jesus Christ with children."
3. "Talk to God, … plead for His help for your loved one, and … thank Him not only for help but for the patience and gentleness that come from not receiving all you desire right away or perhaps ever."

11/7/2024: Non-General Conference Applied: October 2024 Invitations Recap.
Mitch identified many invitations, but he specifically mentioned the following invitations and shared ideas for taking action:
1. [Elder David A. Bednar] "Fifteen years ago, I delivered an address in a worldwide devotional for young adults titled 'Things as They Really Are.' I discussed the blessings and challenges of technology in our lives. And much has changed in the digital world since that time. On Sunday, November 3, I will share an address titled 'Things as They Really Are—2.0' in another worldwide devotional. I invite you to prepare for this gathering by reading my original message and by preparing your heart and mind to be taught by the Holy Ghost about how to discern truth from error."
2. [President Henry B. Eyring] "One way we can be united is by praying together."
3. [President Russell M. Nelson] "We need to meet together. Our weekly worship meetings are an important opportunity for us to find strength, both individually and collectively. We partake of the sacrament, learn, pray, sing together, and support one another. Other gatherings also help foster a sense of belonging, friendship, and shared purpose."
4. [President Russell M. Nelson] "Take to heart the lessons taught in 4 Nephi."
5. [Elder Dale G. Renlund] "May faithful Latter-day Saints in the temple district act as a leaven to call down Thy blessings on all people in the San Pedro Sula area."

10/27/2024: President Dallin H. Oaks, October 2024 General Conference, "Following Christ".
Mitch identified the following invitations and shared ideas for taking action:
1. "Peacemakers! How it would change personal relationships if followers of Christ would forgo harsh and hurtful words in all their communications."
2. "Potential adversaries should begin their discussions by identifying common ground on which all agree. To follow our Perfect Role Model and His prophet, we need to practice what is popularly known as the Golden Rule: 'All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.' We need to love and do good to all. We need to avoid contention and be peacemakers in all our communications. This does not mean to compromise our principles and priorities but to cease harshly attacking others for theirs. That is what our Perfect Role Model did in His ministry. That is the example He set for us as He invited us to follow Him."

Mitch identified the following invitations and shared ideas for taking action:

2. "Now is the time for you and for me to prepare for the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Now is the time for us to make our discipleship our highest priority."
3. "I urge you to devote time each week—for the rest of your life—to increase your understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ."
4. "I call upon you to rededicate your lives to Jesus Christ. I call upon you to help gather scattered Israel and to prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord. I call upon you to talk of Christ, testify of Christ, have faith in Christ, and rejoice in Christ! Come unto Christ and 'offer your whole [soul]' to Him."
