Being a part of the Kingdom of God means being a participant, not a spectator. Through the story of Ehud we are encouraged to understand that everyone has a part to play, no matter their level of abilities.

The final part of our Upside Down series closes out the teaching on Jesus’ sermon on the mount by helping us to understand the difference between a true Christian and fake Christian.

What is the gospel? This is a question where many people misunderstand it’s answer. Jesus laid out a way to live that seemed impossible for even the most religious, yet, because of the Gospel we are able to live the Jesus way, which is a life of freedom and joy.

We live in a world that doesn’t think twice about judging. Through Matthew 7 we learn of what Jesus thinks about people who judge others. Through this talk we study Jesus’ teaching for when to, and when to not, judge others.

In an age of self-promotion and self-publication there is tension between the way our modern culture says we should live and the way those who follow Christ should live. This talk embraces that tension and shows us how to live the Jesus way.

As we continue in our 'Upside Down' series we reference Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5, 6 and 7 and we start to understand that the culture of the Kingdom of God is one where worry, anxiety and the pursuit of wealth is not needed, for God has taken care of our needs.

As we introduce the new series 'Upside Down' we ask 'What is the main element that is shaping your life?' The truth of Jesus or the philosophies of modern culture? Through Romans 12 & 1 Peter 2 we start a journey to living the Jesus way.

A look at John 12, where Mary anoints Jesus, shows us that there is value in what you do for God. We can be encouraged in no matter what your personality or gifts may be, when we do something for the Lord, we matter to God.

If someone were to ask you, ‘What is discipleship?’ what would you say? We’ll look at the original understanding of discipleship in the first century in a way you’ve never heard before in order to help us grasp the implications of what following Jesus looks like today.
