This week, we're going to start looking at some of the words that get used all the time in church, the Bible or in Christian circles. Some of these words are unhelpful without the proper definition or explanation... in fact, I like to call these words: Christianese. They're words that Christians use, that anyone outside of church (or those without a long history in the church) might not understand. We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is JUSTIFICATION. Because Jesus died for us, in our place... when we put our faith in Him, and claim His salvation - that we didn't earn, but was given as a free gift from God - the Father no longer sees our guilt... He sees the innocence of Jesus instead. So when He looks to us as a righteous Judge, His verdict is innocent! That... is JUSTIFICATION.

We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is GOSPEL, which is the "good news" of Jesus, our Savior, to us. When we talk about the Gospel, we're talking about the BIG story of the Bible, and the smaller story of how that BIG story changes our lives.

They're words that Christians use, that anyone outside of church (or those without a long history in the church) might not understand. We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is MERCY. Unlike GRACE - which is getting what we don't deserve... MERCY is not getting what we DO deserve... namely judgement for our sins. Instead, God forgives us and offers us salvation by faith in Jesus.

We're going to define these words, and help to give context to them. Today's word is GRACE. Grace is getting better than you deserve. Grace is deserving darkness and destruction and being given light and an eternal Kingdom to rule and reign over, alongside Jesus. Unmerited favor = Grace!

Faith is the hope of that which we can't see, and the conviction of what is to come - based on what the Bible teaches us.

As we finish looking at the three, distinct persons of the Trinity - The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit - and we recap what makes each one unique and take a look at what each unique member of the Trinity is motivated by... the will of the Father, and the love for His people!

As we continue looking at the three, distinct persons of the Trinity - The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit - and we'll be diving in to what makes each one unique and hopefully give us a better understanding of how they function, and relate to us. This week we'll be looking at God the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us understand God's Heart and His Will... and He helps us communicate our most inward feelings back to the Father when we don't know what to pray... The Holy Spirit serves as our Translator to the Heart of God.

This week we'll be looking at God the Holy Spirit. He's not an it, He's, indeed, a He... and He comes to live in each believer. Today, we look at how He reveals and reminds us of God's Word and His truths... as He takes up residence within us.

This week we'll be looking at God the Holy Spirit. He's not an it, He's, indeed, a He... and He comes to live in each believer. Today, we look at how He empowers us... and strengthens us for the work ahead. The works which God has planned for us to do, that we could only do with His help... His help, through the Holy Spirit, who the Bible actually calls... the Helper!

This week we'll be looking at God the Son, Jesus... when we look at Jesus, the Bible tells us that He wasn't the man who came to conquer Roman, and set up an earthly Kingdom for Israel... but He did come to set up God's Kingdom, and offer Salvation to sinners of all ethnicities... that He could be not only their King... but their Savior as well!
