Man O' Man, have we got a banger for today!
Marcel and Brannely bring on their first guest Steve Iovino.
Steve was born and raised in Chicago and is familiar with growing up in that Boomer era of midwest manly toughness and masculinity.
Between all three they discuss the struggles men in particular, but really most youth, face today on how to view themselves within the correct lens.
What is their truth, what is emotion and what is ok to express. What does it mean to "Be a man?"
They also discuss how both "micro- & macro-trauma's" as Marcel termed them have played subtle but also major impacts, for good and bad, within each other their own relationships.
This very often stemmed from the home-life situation, and their community atmospheres.
In this second part of the Macronutrient discussion we felt it best to cover both Carbohydrates and Fats (lipids) in one swing.
Again We discussed the best possible sources, their availability into everyday life.
The biggest thing we wanted to clear was how to view carbs and fats within the proper lens of what's best and how to utilize that energy for our goals and performance.
The First in a series Marcel and Brannely will be discussing the benefits and sources of the Main Macronutrients (Macros) that they WISH they had known more about growing up.
Protein:
Amount of adequate daily intake.
What those main sources can come from. The role that protein takes and yields within different goals.
And how to best utilize such for growth and development as young adults and up into adulthood
