June 25, 2015 27 GenErik Relives His Boyhood
Last week's late podcast combined with an extreme workload threw off this podcast as well: No time to hassle to other DJs to do it for me even! So here's the last of the Open Air sets. This time actually THEMED. A live mix of tracks in (semi)-chronological order in the years Boyhood covered: 2002-2007 (didn't make it further in an hour).
But not only that (because that's hard enough). These are some of the tracks that I grew up with in that same period that shaped me. Oh, and despite all these restrictions, I pulled off a pretty coherent set. Have a listen. It's #tbt after all! (Or it would have been had the show gone out on time).
2002
01. The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize
02. Jurassic 5 - What's Golden
03. Justin Timberlake - Senorita
04. Ms. Dynamite - It Takes More (Bloodshy Main Mix)
05. Paul Oakenfold - Starry Eyed Surprise
06. Röyksopp - Eple
07. Tweet - Oops
2003
08. Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (The Neptunes Remix)
09. Coldplay - Clocks (Röyksopp Trembling Heart Vox)
10. Lionel Vinyl - Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex (Goldfrapp vs Rachel Stevens)
11. Tomoyasu Hotei - Battle Without Honor or Humanity
12. Head Automatica - Beating Heart Baby
2004
13. Phoenix - Everything Is Everything
14. Modest Mouse - Float On (GenErik's OK Remix)
2005
15. MGMT - Kids (Soulwax Remix) [actually 2008, wrongly tagged in my library]
16. Soulwax - E Talking (Soulwax Nite Version Featuring Nancy Whang)
17. Datarock - Computer Camp Love
2006
18. Hot Chip - And I Was A Boy From School
2007
19. Calvin Harris - Acceptable in the 80s (Radio Edit)
20. The Chemical Brothers - The Salmon Dance (feat. Fatlip)

June 25, 2015 19 Skerik Plays Baker's Dozen
Skerik https://soundcloud.com/djskerik, which by name alone should exude brilliance, is bringing us the goods this week: Grooving deep and tech house that never steers into boring territory. If those first pad swells doesn't give you goosebumps check your pulse.
Now this might be new to some of you internet kids, but this set is going to take you on a journey. Like a well crafted album, it will bring you from point A to point B without you even considering it. It is a well thought out, detail obsessed hand-crafted musical experience of which are rare in a time of instant gratification. This is the chamfered edges of music: even if you don't pay attention you will still appreciate it.
01. Frag Maddin - One Hand (Original Mix)
02. Ole Biege, Martin Waslewski - Odsbodkins (Hanne & Lore Remix)
03. F-Man - An Old Technique

05. Dan Croll - From Nowhere (Ame remix)
06. Mark Deutsche & Musoé - Push
07. Red Axes (feat. Abrão] - Caminho de Dreyfus (Rebolledo Remix)
08. Sergio Sergi & So.Ry - Chaos part 2-(Original dub mix)
09. Damian Lazarus - Neverending (M.A.N.D.Y. Re-Remix)
10. KI Creighton, Jamie Roy - Outerview (Yousef Circus Rework)
