Dr. Jack Kevorkian, also known as Dr. Death, was the center of debate at every dinner table – should a doctor be permitted to assist a patient in committing suicide if that’s what the patient wanted because of excruciating pain and a terminal illness. Prosecutors in Michigan said no and went after Dr. Kevorkian, who turned to Geoffrey Fieger to represent him.
