Jim Clarkson described being ostracized, and isolated after priest’s lips failed to keep knowledge and he was condemned for the feelings he had and life choices he was about to make. This week we respond to a viewers request to explain how we got out and what it was like in the real world for each of us. We reminisce on what it was like when we first left and how we created our new social circles. We take a peek inside Lane's documentary from 2015 as he tries to join one of their meetings and is denied access. Listeners get to hear how the elders talk to those of us that leave. We walk down memory lane since leaving and in a much lighter conversation, we relish in the blessings we've claimed since leaving and the freedom we feel now.

Her astute observation of the disgusting treatment of women- often treated as second class citizens, or as lesser humans is so spot-on with what so many of us who have left the PBCC have described. Christine was never a PBCC member so it is enlightening to hear her describe the abundant use of alcohol by very young children, the attitude of young PBCC men in the workplace and the huge pay discrimination between members & nonmembers. Not a shock to ex-members of this cult but a huge shock to those who have never had this first hand experience.

At the time Lara’s abuse was happening there were 23 members and of those there are potentially 10 children as victims of sexual abuse. She describes the painful memories of how the cult publicly made fun of her father for a serious medical condition.
