This is a book about public speaking yet the author will not narrate? Voice/tone inflection and non-verbals are a a HUGE part of communication, impossible for a narrator to present same quality and message if not author.

A New Low.

I was intrigued in purchasing this Audio Book, as I thought..with such a simple premise, there has to be some sort of valuable insight, or a twist on how to intereact with people. Boy was I wrong! This had all of the quality and sophistication of a 1950's-era- educational film on how the earth "is round." Not only does Mr. Topus confirm by his very writings that he manipulates people and settings for his personal business agenda, he undermines the very premise of this book, that all people have something to offer. Apparently not. Stunningly bad book. I do give it one star for this reason -- clearly, Mr. Topus walks his talk. Only through a "random connection" could he have come into contact with someone high enough in a publishing house could this book have been published.

coach yourself?

this is a good book overall but i think the title is a bit misleading, i think it should be "how to work with your coach to win". Over half of the book discuss how you work with mentor or guide who would give you feedback on a consistent basis or in another word, your coach. I agree that you will need some kind of coaching to succeed but when begin reading this book, i expected to learn how to win/succeed independently without much help from person-to-person interaction.

This book is why I hate the publishing industry

There is good information here - I'm sure of it - but you have to slog through the worst kind of filler to get to it.

It starts in the introduction. Instead of just saying "this book is for everyone" and leaving it at that, it painstakingly lists every profession, situation and human being that might ever have a use for the book.

This happened repeatedly in the first two chapters of the book, list after long list when it could have been summed up in a sentence or two.

This is filler of the worst kind because it's so blatant and lazy. It's an attempt for the publisher to increase the page count without increasing value. It only serves to aggravate and kill valuable time.

The Ask is an opportunity ruined. I'll be The Asking for a refund.

AMAZING book to help you succeed in ANY Interview!

"Crazy Good Interviewing" is a MUST READ for anyone who plans on interviewing for jobs or professional schools! I applied to medical school this year and this book was GREAT preparation for my interviews. I have recommended it to many friends interviewing for professional schools and they have all given me positive feedback. Christmas gift hit!!

I bought 3 copies of this last year for Christmas. Two were for my young adult sons and one for me, so I could advise my graduate students. It was the second gift my sons opened on Christmas morning and they immediately started reading it and were laughing out loud. After about 30 minutes, I had to interrupt them and ask if they wanted to open more presents! They really enjoyed it, and more importantly, they both got great jobs not long after reading the book. Is there a connection? I have to think so. This book is Crazy Good!!

A little crazy has gotten me this far!

Dr. Molidor is an inspiring and dynamic person who reminds us that even simple or common sense concepts are easily forgotten when it comes to putting on the show for an interview. The book is easy to follow and a great quick read for those interviewing; especially if under a lot of stress or short on time. This book has come in handy many times for me and I recommend it to friends and colleagues often.

Though this book is interesting not what I wanted.

This book is all about land a J O B at a university or college online. Little to no actual teaching advice. first four chapters are filler basically telling you the position require a degree and you need an undergraduate degree to get a graduate degree. If you aren't interested in old paradigm online teaching don't buy. if you are interested this book will help you find your way into teaching at a university. All and all interesting listen. my stars are based on the content even if i found the title misleading.
