About why I abandoned my digital design course and started writing a new book.
Sorry about the video disappearing towards the end: my camera ran out of battery...

It's tough to start things.
Getting over the feelings of inadequecy, imposter syndrome, overthinking. They're all challenging.
I've been thinking a lot about overthinking the last few weeks.
Here's why I think its so hard to start something—and what we can do to fix it.
On October 2017 I recorded a podcast about worrying about who I am.
On 20th April 2020 I recorded almost exactly the same episode with The Good Syndrome.
Repeating yourself is good. This episode tells you why.
In this video I talk about the idea of creating swirling pieces of content around you.

How can you make more content than anybody else you know without feeling overwhelmed and going a little bit mental?
Instead of making content, let's talk about making content...plus.
As I mentioned last time—I'm recording a video course about design.
I thought it's time we looked in at my progress so far (so progress), and let me explain to you what's been going right and what's been going wrong.
What's the thing that holds you back from getting starting making content?
Videos? Podcasts?
It's usually that we're scared. But we're not just scared, we're scared of one thing: we're scared of being bad.
I've spent the last 7 days setting myself a challenge: can I record a FULL video design course in just 7 days?
The answer—rather predictably—was no. But I've learned a lot, and I'm here to share what I've learned, and continue to learn.
Stop letting others dictate what you do.
Stop waiting for permission.
Go steal it.
I thought it was time I started taking Twitter seriously. I've been messing with social media for so long and it was time for me to either shut them all down or do something with them.
This episode is about my explorations with "Twitter marketing" and actually working out how to use it properly.
