It was wonderful to hear not only about how All Aerobics came about, but to reflect on some of the tough business decisions these guys have had to make, the challenges in their personal and professional lives, adapting to the ever changing and rapidly growing fitness industry, their passion for charity and community, covid, their new amazing premises, and much much more.

February 22, 2023 Episode 40 - Lewi Taylor
Can I start by saying I had so much fun chatting to this guy - he really is a free spirit, and I just loved his approach to every part of the conversation.
For 158 days straight, Lewi Taylor climbed and conquered 158 of Tasmania’s most challenging mountains – the Abels – trekking alone through rain, hail, snow and blistering sun.
He hiked through Tasmania’s wilderness with a single-minded determination: to raise $158,000 to improve the fighting chances of all Tasmanians with cancer. He was inspired by his mother, who’d been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time.
Lewi started his ‘158 Challenge’ in January 2022 and climbed the final peak, kunanyi, on 10 June, his 30th birthday. His goal was to raise $1000 each time he reached the top of Tasmania’s 158 Abels – mountains that peak above 1,100 meters with sheer drops from the summit.
Working with Cancer Council Tasmania, Lewi raised more than $167,000!
The funds will stay in Tasmania and contribute to cancer prevention education, research and support services, including the Cancer Council’s wig library and transport2treatment program.
What a legend this guy is, we talked and laughed about his comfort in the unknown, his love for Tasmanian landscape, his travel, his random ideas and passions, his dedication to being himself, and his love for his family and friends.

Lou Calvert is a business owner, fitness guru, friend and lover of life.
What I discovered about Lou in this episode is that there is so much more to her than meets the eye. In fact, I couldn’t believe some of the challenges and adversity that Lou has faced throughout the course of her life.
From a brain hemorrhage at 7, to 21 broken bones, suicide bereavement, world record breaker, relationship challenges – we covered it all.
It was a pleasure to hear about what drives Lou, what saddens her, but most importantly, what motivates her.
It was also a pleasure to hear about the amazing way in which she has connected with Ryan Wiggins. Supporting him with his rehab after a devastating spinal cord injury 16 months ago.

Toby Thorpe is the newly appointed Deputy Mayor of the Huon Valley Council – The youngest Tasmanian to ever become a Deputy Mayor I will add). He is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and climate action. Delivering initiatives all over the place, one in fact for his old school, Huonville High School, that saw them win an International Sustainability Prize – only ever won once before by anyone in Australia.
The 2021 Tasmanian Young Australian of the year led a Tasmanian Delegation, as part of the United Nations Climate Change Conference. He also organised the first state-wide climate leaders’ conference in three Tasmanian cities – Toby is a go getter.
In this episode we talk about the power of small change, how he rallies support, his passion for climate change, challenges faced as a young person with big dreams for change, and of course, his passion for his community as he now enters the political landscape.

February 01, 2023 Episode 37- Sharon Jones
Sharon Corvinus-Jones grew up in outback Queensland, the most homophobic place in Australia, feeling different, confused and very alone. She went on to become the first female shearer in Australia before moving to Tasmania, "then the second most homophobic place in Australia."
Sharon struggled with understanding both her ‘sexuality’ and her ‘gender identity’ and didn’t find any support with this until she was in her early 20s.
In this episode Sharon shares with me her struggles around identifying who she was, the abuse and lack of understanding from her parents, and the importance of those that gave her a fair go in life.
In 2013 Sharon won both the ‘LGBTI Rainbow Award’ and the ‘Human Rights LGBTI Award’ for her long-term commitment to developing social and support networks and her contribution to suicide prevention.
Sharon has lived and worked in rural Australia and identifies as 'Gender Non-conforming', challenging transphobia and homophobia.
Sharon is now employed as Chief Executive Officer for Kentish Regional Clinic which has its main office in Sheffield in Tasmania.
It was so cool unpacking Sharon’s life, challenges and lessons learned in this episode. Sharon is such a fun person with a heart of gold!
