Mark Acheson is just a normal Tassie guy who quite simply decided to design something to help others.
Whilst dealing with over 5 months of Melbourne lockdowns, with a couple of mates, Mark developed Crisis Heroes. A marketplace app for people to give, and of course receive random acts of kindness.
He now has rebranded to ‘Kindly’ and is working tirelessly to grow an initiative that he believes the world needs – and how right he is. Kindly now has 20,000 users and has seen thousands use the app to give or get help.
Adding to this, Mark has many other fascinating elements to him, he continues to face mental health challenges and be open about that, sadly also his Dad passed away this year after battling cancer. In his honor, we discuss how and why Mark cycled over 230 kilometers in a day.
I loved unpacking Mark’s life in this episode, hearing about his challenges, learning about his ambitions, he simply is a very inspiring guy, and I know you will be deeply moved.
Enjoy!
