Another manic Monday in the crazy world of 2020. We have a new President Elect, or do we? The United States continues the craziness of this improbable year with only a few more months left in it. I give you all my thoughts on the post Election drama, the NFL, and college football from the wild weekend.

My brother Sam Heersema returns after his last appearance a couple months ago. This time we focus on jobs and careers. Sam and I have each had different experiences with various jobs and we find it interesting that although you never end up where you thought you would, you do end up where you're supposed to. Good luck to everyone out there as hopefully America goes back to work soon.

Bill Barnes and I go over the results late on Election Night and both wonder why the counting of votes was stopped. Forty five of the fifty states were able to count most of their ballots and with Trump leading in the remaining ones, it appears we are at a stand still. We will see what happens later in the week, but for now we wait with anticipation.

I start the week off with chatting about our Halloween activities from over the weekend. There was plenty of celebrating and some rather clever costumes on Saturday. I give my recap of all the NFL action from Sunday and look ahead to the Election on Tuesday.

Brian McDermott is always fun to talk to and there are plenty of topics to discuss today. He vents about being a Clippers/Angels fan in a Lakers/Dodgers world and shares how important the Celtic Football Club is to his family. Brian is proud of his Scottish heritage and is one of the few people on this planet I will talk soccer with. We also discuss podcasts and the year 2020. Happy Halloween!

Bill Barnes and I stay up late on Wednesday night to ensure an episode is out for the Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In. We discuss the Dodgers winning the World Series, make predictions about the Election, and of course complain about how the Dictator of California runs things. Better late than Thursday.

We recap a huge weekend of sports. Games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series were full of excitement and disappointment. Khabib finished off Gaethje rather quickly and then called it a career. Both college football and the NFL provided moments of when the defense should let the offense score.

Ken Drain is a long time coach and Athletic Director at Rio Hondo Prep. He was in the first class Rio ever had and has coached basketball there for over 30 years. He was also the football coach at RHP from 2001-2017 and won 5 CIF Championships. We heard from many of his former players during the tribute we did for him a few months back and today is his turn to share some memories. Mr Drain will talk about the coaches he had growing up, his experience in Vietnam, his favorite part of coaching, and how fun it is to be a new grandparent.

Bill Barnes is back for the Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In. We were both in a hurry after Bill got called away early on Tuesday for another secret mission. Bill answers a couple question from listeners and gives his thoughts on the Dodgers rallying from a 3-1 deficit to advance to the World Series. We give our predictions on the Fall Classic and have a quick show without any outline on short notice.

We kickoff our first pitch with a bell this week as we recap the huge sports weekend. The Dodgers win 3 in a row to advance in dramatic fashion, the Rays looking to be the second Tampa Bay team to win a championship in the fall, and Teofimo Lopez becomes the Undisputed Lightweight Champion in boxing. There is also plenty to talk about from a busy NFL Sunday. The World Series is set and this crazy baseball season is down to just 2 teams. Plus, fans in Atlanta have to be sick of the come from ahead to lose routine.
