Not at all impressed...
...with this selection. Audio quality is very poor, and the voice annoyingly singsong. Perhaps that's just a matter of individual preference- other reviewers seem to have liked and benefitted from this selection- but for me, my annoyance with the hypnotherapist's technique prohibited my being able to use this.
I have successfully used several other self hypnosis audio programs, and I can say with a degree of knowledge that there are much better programs out there. Skip this one.
Very Disappointed
I realize this "tape" was created some years ago, and the extremely poor quality is probably due to transferring the tape to digital format. I could live with that, but when the hypnotist makes mistakes during the induction that have not been edited out, that's pretty cheesy. It irritates me to the point that the induction is a failure. Save your time and money, folks. Pass on this one.
My favorite hypnosis audio book!
I listen to a lot of these, especially ones by Glenn Harrold (also good), but this one is my absolute favorite. Maybe it is the therapist's wonderful voice. She has a sing-song quality that puts me right under, and after several days of listening to this once a day (just the hypnosis part, after listening to the introduction once), I already feel it is taking effect. Excellent.
Worked but....
I felt a distinct difference in my appetite, but I found it a bit unnerving to have my appetite just shut off after a few bites. I felt the suggestions were a little too generalized. I loved the staircase deepner and the anti stress suggestions.
Not Bad
My only complaint to this would be they do focuses quite a bite on why do you eat what do you eat. I think the focuses should get off the food but that is just me. But if you only lessoned to that one part once and the rest of it throughout I think you would be presently surprised, I know I am! Though I must give credit where credit is due, I have lost 5 pounds and I just quite smoking so something I am doing is working. I am just not sure if it is the hypnosis tapes, the subliminal tapes, the meditation tapes or a combination of all three. Ether way I am keeping it up!!!
