Members Reviews:
misleading and disrespectful
This book is a composite of some Writings by The Bab and a mish-mash of entirely unrelated and deeply inferior comments regarding other topics. Nowhere in the description of the book was there any indication this would be the case, and it certainly confuses the issue of what this book is about. Also, I am certain, no Baha'i Review Board would ever allow this to have been published as it is. The photo (ostensibly) of The Bab on the cover, must be spurious since, even to devout Baha'is on Pilgrimage in Haifa, Israel, only one photo of The Bab exists and can only be seen under that specific circumstance (Pilgrimage). I would suggest you consider deleting this book under any Baha'i or Babi heading.
Pure bunkum
This is a self-published book by someone completely unqualified to be writing on the subject, nor was the Bab a Baha'i since Bahaism did not exist in 1850 when He was martyred. The Bab, or the Essence of the Seven Letters, was the founder of the Bayani religion which claims adherents to this day - contrary to what the Baha'is may assert. Contrary to the assertion of the other reviewer, the picture is indeed of the Bab. This is the one displayed in the homes of all Bayanis worldwide. It is also the picture which has been reproduced in every Persian language book and encyclopedia entry on the Bab. The Baha'i assertion that they hold the only picture of the Bab at their world center in Haifa, occupied Palestine, has no validity. It is a tendentious claim based on their attempt to project an image that they hold all relics associated with the Bab. In any case, this book is a completely worthless vanity publication with no information on the Bab and people should not waste their time or money on it.
