Another winner from Lilian Harry

I loved this short little story. I was happy to read the back story of Frances Kemp (though it is sad), and why she remained single all those years. In later books, good things start to happen for her, for which I am happy!

I usually love all Lilian Harry books

I think this book was put out for the centenary of the first world war. I usually love all Lilian Harry books, but this was was just a rather pointless short story. Her Burracombe series is very good, however.

I loved this whole series

I loved this whole series...but felt there was something missing in this story...Maybe because it wasnt in the book form and only for the kindle.... Not as happy with this one....BUT the series IS WORTH READING

I enjoyed this book very much

I enjoyed this book very much. It dealt with blindness and capability, the blind mother wondering about being able to parent a baby, step parenting, dealing with a mother-in-law, who didn't approve of the marriage, and giving help to an older woman with Alzheimer.
