    Formato: Unabridged
    Durata: 23 mins
    Lingua: Italiano
    Data di pubblicazione: 12-26-17
    Editore: Tektime
    Categoria: Religion & Spirituality, Christianity
    Riepilogo Editore:
    Provate a immaginare!
    Funzionava perfettamente!

A must have. After reading, it is obvious that the bible is pure fantasy and even worse - it is the cause of much, if not most hatred and killing in this world. We can not advance as a species until we get rid of worshiping our ignorance and superstitions.

I believe in Miracles and you will, too.
This purchase was to replace my original copy of this book, because I want to have it as part of my home library. I dare anyone to say, after reading this book, that there are no miracles in this life. If they still believe this, then I would like them to explain just how many of these events could happen. For example, the lady who found a ten dollar bill under her feet at the counter of the grocery store, and decided to put it in her wallet and use it to do a good deed for someone in need. Then, two weeks later, was in line behind an elderly woman who was telling the clerk about losing a ten dollar bill a couple weeks previously, and was afraid she was short of enough money to pay for her present purchase. The lady behind her stepped up and gave her the very ten dollar bill she had lost in her previous visit to the store. And this is just one of many such "Little Miracles" This book just enforces my belief that "There are NO coincidences in this life!"
    More Miracles
I ended up liking this second installment of 'God's Little Miracle Book' better than the first. I think what made it better for me was that this was not just Sally Jadlow's stories that were being told. These were the testimonies of God's dealings in the lives of people Sally has met. I rejoiced in their witnesses of God's love and mercy.
    Wonderful
It's always good to hear how God works!!! Enjoyed this very much and would recommend for reading and encouragement for all
    Challenging
Mrs. Jadlow's faith to believe for miracles is a challenge to others. Her short stories kept me spell-bound as I read one after the other. I've always believed in a God of Miracles, but often forget just how much He does want to be our source when we ask Him for help. What a faith building book! Love this and am anxious for book 3.
    An Inspiring Sequel
I purhased the second volume of Sally Jadlow's book as an e-book so it would be available to me wherever I went with my Kindel. Just as I enjoyed the first God's Little Miracle Book, this one did not disappoint. Sally has an easy style to read, and it is refreshing to see how God has quietly intervened in the lives of so many. I count this book as one to share with others!

Title: The Hospitality of God: Discovering and Living Kingdom Hospitality
    Author: Caleb Camp
    Narrator: Erin Meyer
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 3 hrs and 8 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 11-21-17
    Publisher: WestBowPress
    Genres: Religion & Spirituality, Christianity
    Publisher's Summary:
Hospitality has been practiced by the people of God dating back through the entire Old Testament (Consider Abraham and Lot). Today, many of those practices are still in place throughout much of the Middle East. God, however, has called the whole church to participate in Kingdom hospitality. In fact, it is an integral part of the culture of the Kingdom of God.
Kingdom hospitality encompasses much more than simply hosting people out of the kindness of our hearts. This book is a journey into the heart, attitude, and mindset of the hospitality of God and the beginning of a life of Kingdom hospitality.
Through an exploration of Scripture, culture, and calling, you'll discover the beauty of Kingdom hospitality and its importance in the expression of our Christian faith.

The Hospitality of God: It's So Much More Than You Think
Today I stumbled upon something that gave me great joy. While it may sound strange, I hope youâll understand.
I discovered the book that I would have written if I could have written it. Sound strange? Itâs true.
Caleb Campâs soon to be released book entitled, The Hospitality of God (published by Westbow Press) says virtually everything that, for the last fifteen years, Iâve either said or have wanted to say on the subject of biblical hospitality, which is by far the least dealt with theological topic in all of Scripture.
Yes, a former addict turned disciple of Christ who learned about hospitality in Turkey, says it all. Plus some.
As a bonus, he says it well. Camp writes, â...it could be argued that hospitality is a major theme of the Bible and the Gospel. Not only is it a theme, but it could also be argued that hospitality is an expected spiritual discipline of those who follow Christ.â
Thatâs right. Camp correctly labels hospitality as a spiritual discipline for all believers. Itâs more than just inviting a friend over for dinner. Itâs threaded into who we are as children of God.
Our western culture has increasingly closed the doors on outsiders. We have created bubbles of protection from people who are different from us. Our churches have become wholly homogenous and diversity has become a word that only those on the other side of the aisle use. Weâve built walls that God never wanted us to build and have begun to wage cultural wars that God never intended us to fight.
The Hospitality of God challenges that mindset by presenting a biblical case for proactively loving the needy and tossing off the chains of judgment and preconception. It examines a wide range of biblical texts through the lens of what the author properly calls, Kingdom Hospitality. Some, like Lot and Rahab the Harlot, you may have already considered in this light, but others, like John 3:16 and the Great Commission, with expert textual analysis may surprise you. Even better, they may convict you.
One of the most important distinctions that Camp makes between what I thought I knew about hospitality and the way that Jesus actually practiced it, is that He (Jesus) was most often the one invited rather than the one hosting the event. For God, being hospitable doesnât only mean hosting someone. It means looking for someone to care for, accept, and minister to.
By reading The Hospitality of God youâll learn simple things like the definitions and origins of the word itself.

    Publisher's Summary:
This is a compilation of different excerpts from the Bible and the Apocrypha of women whose lives set Godly examples and give inspiration to all who read their heroic stories. Here's some more information regarding this book by Judy Greenlees:
"The role of women in the Bible has been a universal source of discussion for generations. The Abrahamic faiths which emerged from ancient biblical history have turned to the scriptures for advice and role models for women's behaviors and purpose. In fact, the scriptures have recorded guidelines defining these things."
"Viewed through the lens of culture, some writers have attempted to interpret significance of the scripture lessons and stories about women in relationship to current events. For some, the ancient stories no longer reflect the woman of today. Feminist viewpoints have explored the value of supposed freedoms, and certainly dealt headfirst with issues previously unspoken. Women have indeed suffered through cultural expectations which have produced mental, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, slavery, marginalization, and a host of social ills. But, the truth is that the scriptures are the source for understanding how God would have his womanly creation live life to the fullest. The ageless, compelling stories of these VIII Women of God provide rich sources of inspiration, because these are not the role models one might expect." - Judy Greenlees

A study in Biblical characters that will revolutionize your understanding
This is a unique book indeed that takes Biblical characters with real happenings and mixes fictional script to help the reader understand better the emotions that could have been attached to the surrounding happenings. Do not discount how fictional writing and reality can co- exist because this book is one such example that will expand your understanding and depth of each individual. Centered on the women of the Bible, I can attest that this will be a Bible reading like no other. I love the Author's unique style and the questions that follow that make it an incredible discussion piece for small group teaching.
Katheryn Maddox Haddad wrote this to help women understand some of the problems and challenges they face today and thousands of years ago. Here is a little sample of what you will find in this book.
As you enter SARAH'S world you will experience the multiple locations, exhausting travel, and arduous waiting for the promised offspring. The story of LOT'S WIFE centered in unbelief will really cement her in a profound way as will his daughter's deception in tricking Lot to bear them children.
Feel the heartbreak of REBECCA in her later years over her sons: "She fought away her threatening bitterness. God was not answering her prayers. She did not know whether to pray for Jacob's return, or Esau's moving away, or the two meeting each other in traveling by accident...all she could do is groan."
JOB's WIFE learns a lesson on faith after being rattled in seeing Job and all they had disappear.
Though you are familiar with the book of RUTH author Haddad will add a new visual perspective as Ruth approaches Boaz according to Jewish custom. "You have not run after the younger men...instead it was to me...He wanted to shout to the whole world.."
The principle of sowing and reaping will be displayed in David's family as you read the account of TAMAR's rape. It's more than a rape and shame but heart issues that affect family dynamics.
I had to give this work a 5 star rating as it stretched me to depths I will long remember. This author has other books that are well worth exploring.
    Falls Short
I'm about half-way through this book and I'm really disappointed in it. We are using it for a women's Bible class. First, the editing is terrible - misspelled words, incomplete sentences - it completely ruins any credibility the author might have had. I also feel like the author takes too much liberty. She basically writes a fictional story to help you understand where each Biblical woman is coming from. Some are okay, but most are outlandish.

    Inspiring!
I love this book so much. As as long time runner, I completely relate to many of stories of fear and the importance of perseverance. However, my husband is not a runner and he still loved the book. Such great stories, scriptures, and spiritual insight to encourage and train yourself to wait on the Lord but never quit doing your part to grow. Easy read, short stories. I highly recommend this as a gift for any runner, biker, triathlete - just starting out or seasoned athlete, they will enjoy it, relate to it and grow from it.
    Five Stars
Amazing book and stories of not giving up even when that would be the easy way out
    Highly recommend! Very inspiring!
Excellent, inspiring book of short stories, all based on personal experience. This author was very near the finish line at "the" Boston Marathon when the bombs went off. Her story will give you chills. I highly recommend.
    Highly Recommend!
What a joy this book was! Jennifer is such an inspirational author. It's a little surprising that I would find someone like an elite athlete and Ironman "relatable" but I absolutely did throughout every page of the book! Funny, heartwarming, tear-jerking, and soul-searching words grace the pages of Press On. I've already made four of my friends read it and they've highlighted sections, jotted down notes, and their additions are making it climb even higher on my list of favorites. I can't recommend it enough!
    each beautifully describing a difficulty
What an inspiration! This book was such a blessing to me that I have given a copy to most of my friends. The author has written 33 vignettes, each beautifully describing a difficulty, a challenge, or a tragedy in her life and how she learned through each circumstance. I was so encouraged by each story. I am not an athlete like the author, but I still received such wisdom as she described relationship challenges, heartbreaks, stresses in daily life. I think this book would be an excellent one for a women's Bible study or prayer group to read and discuss. Thank you, Jennifer McAlister, for your encouragement to "Press On".
