Charming Little Tales, What I Could Hear of Them

Charming little stories, what I could hear of them. The background music was so loud and overpowering I had trouble hearing what Ms. Parsons was saying and distinguishing her words. It would have been a delightful little piece except that I was exhausted from straining to hear her voice and trying to understand her words over the background noise. Also, the "typical Gemini heroes" she chose would not have been my choices. Bob Dylan? No way. Jamie Oliver? Well I liked his cooking show, but I would hardly pick him as a typical Gemini. Maybe that is just the difference between American and British tastes.

Disappointed

The first chapter captured me. As I read more and more of the book, though, I became disappointed. The author has a lot to say about how important friendships are and how difficult it was for women (including herself) to make friendships. She states a large percentage of people do not have a friend they could call in a crisis...then mentioned 4 friends that she could call at 3:00 am should she need them. That is at least 3 more friends than a lot of people can claim and seems to go against her previous writing about not having good friends. It began to feel insincere. I did not finish the book.

A Much-Needed Message for Women in the Church

Reading Anita's book was so liberating and life-giving to me. I found myself nodding so many times through the book, saying, "I can relate!" and the end result was that I felt so much less alone with my own struggles and secrets--and who of us doesn't carry our own load of those? I especially appreciated Anita sharing about her own story with candor and honesty, as it gives me the courage to want to share more of my own. Thank you, Anita: this book is a gift to us all.

What Women Tell Me

Anita's book gives a refreshing look into the heart of a woman who has been given the ability to see beyond personal sorrow and embrace the transforming grace of God that has lifted her to a revitalized relationship with the Lord. In my opinion, every woman will profit from reading this candid account.

This book was a good read if you follow the day to day programing of Midday Connection. It gave insight into the host and her journey. It was good to see in writing what some of the struggles are of today's women.

Mr. Reed plots out a common-sense game plan to achieving your life goals and breaks it down for you. If you adopt his approach to goal-setting and goal-achieving, you can't help but succeed!

I know there are a lot of self-help books out there but this book is truly different! You are immediately challenged to sign a contract with yourself and the author to commit to making a serious change with your life. This book is definitely not for the weak at heart or those who are not committed to making a change for the better. I have become an investor in my own human spirit!!! Watch out for those bubble-busters!!! Kudos to the author!!! I cannot wait for his next book!

H.S.Reed has taken a dramaticaly different approach to self discovery. The book takes you on a significant,self searching,self improvement journey deep into ones inner core, with a twist!

I wish I could give this book to everyone in the world. We need it.

a soothing yet enlightening audio book

a lovely delivery by the author, overall I would say this book goes a long way to promote wholeness, grace and inner tranqulity, his voice is soothing and his words often give much clarity to many of life scenarios. Had this audio book for a year now and still is, and probably will be for a long time, one of my companions.
