Get Lit

Hey all! Today’s show requires a tiny bit more attention as most of what I say is kind of quiet. That’s the downfall of doing an interview in an uncontrolled environment (in this case, The Cannon on Ottawa Street).

The interview is great, though, because it’s one of those where I get to combine Get Lit with a lifetime of music journalism. I chat with Rollie Pemberton – aka musician Cadence Weapon – about his book, Bedroom Rapper. Check it out.

Kim Conklin was a guest at my Oct 12 book launch for River, Diverted and I went down to Windsor to read with her at Biblioasis last week. Love meeting and getting to know new authors in person! On today’s show we discuss her debut novel, King of Hope.

Super excited about this week's show! First, I had the privilege of meeting Hamilton-based author Sheila Murray, and she was wonderful. Second, her debut novel Finding Edward is up for the Governor General's Literary Award for Fiction (announced Nov 16) which is exciting.
