    Good Content; Poor delivery.
There is some very useful information here. Unfortunately, the delivery is a little on the dull side. The author really should have delivered it himself. I'm sure he would have done a better job considering that he is a professional speech coach.

    Unbelivably great
Amaizing simple description of how to make people happy at work, how to effectively manage employees. Written with simple understandable language, it will make you want to practice all those techniques right away. Very motivating
Should have read it much earlier in my career!
If you have only one take-away from this book (and there are many great pearls), it is that positive reinforcement is determined by the result, not the intention. Just because you think it is a positive reinforcement or encoragement, in the eyes of the receiver, it might not feel that way. I wish I'd read it much, much earlier in my career.
    fantastic!
this is a great book - it's a different way from looking at management from many other business books, which tend to emphasis who you are more than what you do. it gives ideas that you can implement immediately. easy to understand. highly recommended.
Everyone is the business world should read this
What made the experience of listening to Bringing Out the Best in People the most enjoyable?
Learning how to stop supporting bad behaviors
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes but who da hell has 4 hours to sit and listen to a book?
    Any additional comments?
Seriously if you are a manager of any sort, please listen to this book. Take note of how to properly motivate employees and NOT give to the whole group while not pitting employees against each other.
Majorly love the section about goal setting.
    Life changing book!
If I can sum it up, be the change you want to see in the world. great book. I wish the narrator was not so monotone though. he needs more inflection and variation in his speech.
this book will change your life and how you treat people!

    Critic Reviews:
"What truly distinguishes this book from available management volumes, besides its inspiring hit-the-ground-running approach, is the material gleaned from...chief executives, which is full of entertaining, enlightening first-person anecdotes....A guiding light to many an incoming manager." (Publishers Weekly)
    Members Reviews:
    Solid, action-oriented advice
This is excellent business writing: on-point, pithy and with enough specific examples to bring their ideas to life. An extended marketing effort for Spencer Stuart? Quite possibly - but this is genuinely engaging stuff, and the authors clearly speak from experience. They do a particularly good job of broadening the scope of the message: how many of their readers/listeners will actually be CEOs? Probably not many. So they ensure there are clear learnings throughout for someone moving into a management role at any level. All this is presented in a digestible form which avoids the pitfalls of dumbing down to the lowest common denominator. Definitely worth a look.
    You're in Charge, Now What?
This book is mostly targeted toward CEO level and executives. Some of the information is difficult to relate to, while one can find some tidbits of useful information. It does give insight into the pyche of the CEO and some of the thought processes they go through. It's not what I was hoping for as I was looking for something along the lines of a 1st level manager. This book caters to positions much higher than that. The narration is good.
    CEO focused
There are a few good guidelines that are of value for not making gross mistakes (such as overestimating your own abilities, or assuming you have the perfect plan from day one), but although the book claims to be applicable to all management (from middle managers to CEOs), 95% of the book is focused on the CEO level. I would recommend this for VP-level and above, or those that deal with boards on a regular basis.
    Great tips
Although it might seem that the tips are only for CEOs, if you read between the lines and have a more wide view, you will find several great tips for middle managers that are starting new jobs or positions or why not..tips to correct mistakes in your actual job.
I really recommend it if you are about to take a new job or position and what to enter with the correct foot.
this is no panacea for your first day
however, the book does give insightful knowledge regarding how to prepare yourself in your new position. i wish i had read this book (was aware of it but did not get around to it) when i got promoted. still, any plan is only as good as the execution, and the book doesn't help you there. it's still up to you to act.

As Donald Trump proves, getting rich is easy. Staying rich is harder. Your chances are better, and you'll have more fun, if you think like a billionaire. This is the audiobook that will help you make a real difference in your life.
    Members Reviews:
    A Great Promoter !
I like Trump, he is a brilliant promoter , even though he claims he is only a builder..The truth is this book contains only 1 hour of how to to be a billionaire , the rest is self promotion. I enjoy listening to him, he is entertaining, that is why his show the Apprentice is so successfull. So if you get a kick out of listening to how The Donald makes phone calls and drops names this is for you.
    If not forget it.
    Joke
This book is yet again another TRUMP book full of useless junk. I actually read the real book and must say he provide little to nothing of any actual detail on how to obtain mass amounts of wealth. I love Trump, but absolutely hate this book. If you want to hear more and more about how Trump is the best at everything buy this, but if you actually want to gain any knowledge, don't.
Last note, I must say this book was entertaining, but for the title it is complete BS. It probably took him one day along with his staff to write this book.
    Entertaining
As I listen to this book, I picture The Donald dictating from the back of his limo the pearls of wisdom that he has gathered throughout his life. This is not a step-by-step book, but a "how Donald Trump views life" book. The book rambles a bit but is entertaining because it's written as if the author were talking to you directly. Some of the stories and proverbs are built-in advertisements for Mr. Trumps loyal clients. Some of the information is not practical or applicable to the average Joe, but I find myself drawn to Donald's style and charisma.
    Audio-torture! Don't waste your time...
This book was incredibly painful to listen to. The 'practical tips' are obvious and not useful and the rest of the book consists of a series of narcissistic and smug ramblings that border range from distasteful to pathological. One wonders how many yes-men Trump is surrounded by... a true friend or colleague would have lit fire to the manuscript and told Trump not to make an ass out of himself.
If anyone actually wants to become rich, read The Automatic Millionaire (the author has a painful tone but provides useful information) and Eight Steps to Seven Figures (excellent book). Those books are straight-forward and contain practical information. I became a millionaire after reading those two books and using emigrant-direct.com as a temporary holding bin/ high-interest bank account between investment decisions. Good luck!
    Think like a billionaire
This book is a total waste of time. The book starts out ok and then goes into promoting trumps crummy tv show the aprentice. Don't waste your time try rich dad poor dad instead.

    Publisher's Summary:
What color is your thinking hat? In this revolutionary work, Dr. de Bono explains the 6 different hats and how they affect the way we perceive things. He shows how people and organizations can become more effective by using a simple language as a control system for thinking. Learn about the White Hat (facts, figures, and information), the Red Hat (emotions, hunches, and intuition), the Black Hat (negative judgment), the Yellow Hat (brightness and optimism), the Green Hat (fertility and creativity), and the Blue Hat (cool and control). You'll never put on your thinking cap the same way again.

    needs to be re-recorded
Audio sound quality is very distracting. It's sounds like something from a 1950's radio. The audio format that this book is recorded on is not compatible for Zune users.
    So 1950
Would you try another book from Dr. Edward De Bono, MD, MA, PhD, DPhil and/or Dr. Edward De Bono, MD, MA, PhD, DPhil?
The style seemed very old, like I'm watching a film from 1950. It needs to be modernized. Throughout the book they were continuously mixing between all styles that there wasn't a clear separation (besides the blue hat thinking style) between them, what each is and when to use.
Could you see Master Thinker II being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
    No
    Any additional comments?
    It needs to be re-modernized
    Is Dr. De Bono American?
I purchased this book because I thought it was narrated by the author. As it turns out, a male and female with strong American accents narrate the whole book without introducing themselves. I don't think either of them is Dr. De Bono. I am disappointed. The style is shocking and is not the same text as the physical book which was a true masterpiece.
    great framework for thinking
some of the examples are dated but the concept is interesting. especially the lateral thinking process for green hat thinking
    Worth it.
I would recommend this. My team and I can use it every day. Old material but still worth it. A classic.

    Great book, poorly read :-(
This book is a fantastic review of the considerations and complexities of the entrepreneurial business model. Unfortunately, the person reading the text of this audiobook has done an abyssmal job and significantly detracts from its quality.
    Decent material, miserable presentation.
The book read like a textbook, which means that the approach was dry at times and occasionally hard to follow. The information was useful, but it was tough to pick out the valuable parts every now and then. The narrarator was terrible, monotone, and miserable. I'd rather read the book myself than liste to him read it.
An excellent book that needs a remastering
I was very concerned when I read other people's review of how the narration was below quality. I still downloaded the book, and I'm glad I did. The content of the book is excellent, well suited for an audiobook because of its narrative style. Very interesting, well laid-out topics about business, with plenty of examples of well known companies. The only issue -and I can see what people are referring to- is the quality of the recording, which probably started as a cassette tape that got poorly mixed to digital audio. It is somewhat muted, but still understandable. I think the narrator does a pretty good job. I don't think it's a "dry" reading.
impossible to listen to in the car
I listen to audiobooks in my car, during my commute. The sound quality and narration in this one is so poor that it is effectively impossible to listen to.
    Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The contents of the book are insightful and stand the test of time. The audiobook version stinks. I had to listen twice and gave up. The recording quality is very poor. Just buy the printed version.

    Members Reviews:
I'm a disciple of The Nerdist Way!!
Where does The Nerdist Way rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Other than the Harry Potter series as read by Jim Dale, this is my favorite audiobook! Hardwick has such a dynamic storytelling voice, it felt like a conversation. He offers a perfect balance of humor, personal anecdotes, challenging truths and encouragement to the reader.
What did you like best about this story?
I like that Chris was vulnerable at times, telling the truth about his story. It's what gives me so much hope. He was so relatable, and made me feel like there was hope for me to turn my life around, too. I love that he doesn't just tell the reader what to do, he explains what worked for him and why. But he is also a cheerleader, and I couldn't help but believe he really was on my side as I listened.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I don't know about "scene", but the book is separated into 3 sections, and the 1st section was the most striking for me. There's a lot of good stuff to be found in the 2nd and 3rd sections as well, but the first section was amazing.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book literally saved my life, so yes, I had an extreme reaction to it. I was in the process of planning when and how to end my life when someone told me about this book. I downloaded it immediately and stayed up all night listening to it. That night I decided that I wanted to live, and if I was going to live that I needed to let go of suicide as a viable option for me once and for all. (So when I say it "literally" changed my life, I mean it.)
I have been exposed to psychology all my life, both personally and professionally, as it was my chosen field of study.

Go beyond lame blogging books with this step-by-step into nine proven systems to make money blogging.
I spent years wanting to start a blog. I hated my job and knew I didn't want to spend a third of my day miserable...but looking through blogging books, all I found were generic strategies and false promises. They all promised huge income but none really told me how much bloggers make or how to make money online.
I said screw it and started my blogs anyway in 2014. I quit my job and spent 60+ hours a week building my sites and learning how to make money blogging.
You know what, it paid off. I doubled my monthly income last year and now make more than 85% of bloggers. That's in just two years of blogging and I make money from seven different income sources every month.
The nine ways to make money I detail in this book helped me grow my income to over $5,000 a month. More than a work from home reference, each chapter is a step-by-step in getting started and maximizing your income from each source.
Some of the strategies to make money are completely passive once you set them up. Others will take more work but can make thousands a month. The one thing they have in common...they all work!
This isn't just another generic blogging book, covering everything from starting a blog to building traffic and then offering a side-note on a few ways to make money. You can find that anywhere. Type "start a blog" in Google and you'll find thousands of articles on how to set up your site but none of them tell you exactly how to make money. Believe me, I tried and had to learn the hard way.
This book is 100 percent dedicated to giving you the tools that make money on websites.
I'm not promising you a get rich quick scheme or a way to make money online without doing any work. What I am promising is a complete guide on making money blogging, from strategies that will start making money today to the ones that make the most money.

    Excellent!
As a speaker and trainer for the last 18 year I can highly recommend this audiobook. It brings useful, practical, and actionable ideas.
Things like having three clear points to get across, and specific deeper levels of preparation are shown in context of real world facilitations.
    Get it!
Helpful book -- VERY well read by Ariana Savalas
If you have spent time with inept meeting conveners, this would be a great "secret" gift. Ariana Savalas does a great job of narrating, and I can only hope that she narrates more exciting content (although this is certainly helpful content). I am a university professor, and I think this book will have wide application to teaching/learning situations. Our students often refer to "Death by Powerpoint" and this is a great antidote to that.
Great read for those in the business of building the capacity of people
I like the strategies and approaches presented to help facilitators become more effective when presenting before a crowd of people. A great presentation is that one that places the needs and desires of the participants at the forefront of their agenda.
I highly recommend this text to leaders and facilitators everywhere.
    Love it... Absolutely love it!
Thanks so much for such a great, filled with value book! Great content which I put to use successfully and brilliantly. The information in this book reveals exactly what NOT to do (a life saver in its own right) as well as gives very nice and practical insights of tools and techniques that truly every facilitator needs. My God, finally a book that made me feel I had to pay more money for it.... (hey hey hey.... Just kidding about paying more money... ).
    Awesome book
What did you love best about Fearless Facilitation?
Audio books on facilitation are hard to find. I loved the audio book so much that I will now buy the kindle version if available to keep as a reference on my digital library. Recommended for in charge of meetings.

Awesome guide for a small business!
Where does Taxes & Accounting for Small Businesses - QuickStart Guides rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
I have listened to a lot of audio books. I cannot compare this book to all of them, because a technical guide can not be compared to a fantasy or science fiction novel. That being said, compared to other guides I have listened to, and I have listened to a number of them, this is an excellent guide. Having been involved in the initiation of a small business, I wish I would have had this guide then, because it gave excellent information and serves an an excellent reference.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
It tied up nicely, and felt like a good ending to a concise, but very thorough guidebook.
    Any additional comments?
Highly recommended for anyone who is a new business owner. This guide is probably not enough all by itself, however it is a great reference and a great point to start from.
    Very informative
I was able to get what I feel was everything I needed out of this book and then some. They spoke clearly and I was able to understand it all.
    Nothing new
No details that your average business minded person doesn't already know. Very surface level stuff
    An Educational Short Story..
    Any additional comments?

packs a punch with the amount of information that it holds.
The author covers accounting on a City, State and Federal level, as well as IRS tips, Record keeping, Payroll and Tax Mistakes.
The book is user friendly and easy to browse through sections in order or as needed.

Kevin Kollins had a clear voice and did well with the narration.
